Hope to see you there!
Dear Friend,
This year 4RWI is participating in #GivingTuesday on December 2!
What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday refers to the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is a movement to create a national day of giving to kick off the giving season. #GivingTuesday was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season.
#GivingTuesday is now a global movement of individuals and organizations that believe that everyone whether a large or small donor has a role in helping solve challenges at a local and global level.
Why Support 4rwi this Tuesday?
4rwi is a volunteer operated non-profit organization, by donating this holiday season you will be ensuring that we fulfill our mission to touch the lives of women in the United States and internationally. The raised funds will go directly towards our insight-gaining programs and activities, including our award winning Leadership Academy (LEAD!) and Voices of Women (V.o.W.) conference.
How You Can Support 4rwi on Tuesday?
Donate, share this picture with at least 5 friends and family members and spread the word using the hashtag #GivingTuesday and #pinkpowered on social media.
Don’t let this opportunity pass by! You too can make a difference in the life of one women this Holiday Season and you can start Tuesday, December 2nd.
Thank you for your continual support.
Sincerely,
Angela Fletcher

Girls’ loss of leadership confidence in the teen years is tied to the shortage of women in leadership roles later in life, which helps explain a U.S. gender pay gap that leaves a woman earning, on average, 77 cents to every dollar earned by a man. And it’s much less for women of color: for African American women, the gap is 64 cents on the dollar, for Latina and Hispanic women it’s 53 cents on the dollar and Native American women 60 cents on the dollar.

23 Women Show Us Their Favorite Position
When reality television star and fashion blogger Lauren Conrad was asked what her “favorite position” was on a live radio program a while back, the women listening held their breath. Her response? “CEO.”
People have offered many potential explanations for this discrepancy, but this ad highlights the importance of the social cues that push girls away from math and science in their earliest childhood years.

“#IAmJada This young woman is so remarkable. Her bravery inspires. While we continue the fight to end rape, right now we can create a world where survivors know they are safe, that they are believed, and that their lives need not be consumed with shame.
