So, obviously I need someone who’s communicate and doesn't expect me to magically read their mind. They need to be curious, have their own interests, and can keep up with me when I start rambling about science for three hours. They should also be able to identify edible plants, carry heavy equipment, tolerate my terrible science jokes, and not complain when I name a machine something stupid.

Also, they need to survive unexpected explosions, understand that occasionally I will disappear because I’m building something, have a tolerance for chemical smells, know the difference between a controlled experiment and when it’s a disaster, be willing to help me count 117,354,889,550 seconds if necessary, and accept that I may wake them up at 3:47 a.m. because I figured out a solution to a problem that has been annoying me for weeks.

Basically, to conclude, I’d want someone who’s honest, reliable, and doesn’t slow down the progress of humanity. Pretty simple, right!
