5 Star Northeast Black 14u Battles Rain and Parkway to Atlantic City
The 14U Black squad woke up at the crack of dawn, eyes half open, cleats still muddy from last week. Destination? Atlantic City. Purpose? Dominate Game 1 of the Perfect Game East Coast Elite Championship. But somewhere around Exit 58 on the Parkway… chaos struck. Phones started buzzing like someone hit a walk-off. Coaches’ group chat blew up. Parents went silent. One player yelled from the backseat, “Yo, PG just canceled all Saturday games!” followed by another kid asking, “So… are we still stopping at Wawa?” Just like that, the mission shifted from baseball to bagels and back home. So the mafia made a U-turn smoother than any double play they’ve turned all year.
