With the first light of dawn filtering into a cabin hidden beneath the snow, a young girl no older than 17 was waking up after a difficult night, half of which she had spent lying awake. Her movements were slow as she dressed herself, finishing her outfit with a pointed hat.
As she stretched and made her way toward the kitchen of her small cabin—located only a few feet away—with the same slowness that seemed intrinsic to her nature, she began to hear noises that clashed sharply with the usual silence that accompanied the forest in winter.
Amelia, the young woman I have been speaking of all this time, approached the antlers mounted on the cabin wall, which were responsible for allowing her to hear the sounds of the forest. With a practiced motion, she took them from their place on the wall and carefully brought them closer to her ear so she could listen more clearly to what was happening.
Footsteps, panting, and curses thrown into the air.
She frowned as she listened, then returned to the kitchen, setting the antlers on a countertop so she could continue hearing. Once there, she took out a pot, filled it with water, and set it to boil, Though you might think she intended to make soup, you would be mistaken. Once the water reached a rolling boil, and while muttering complaints about wasting resources, Amelia dropped bay leaves and fennel into the water and began stirring in circles, slowly as everything she does.
Soon, the bubbles caused by the boiling began to disappear, and the water changed both color and form. The continuous circular motion eventually allowed a vision to appear upon its surface.
Footsteps, panting, and curses thrown into the air. It was all the noise a freckled young man was making as he trudged through the forest. Yet freckles were not the only thing adorning his cheeks; something akin to yellow scales accompanied them.
He was definitely not someone who would be in that forest without a compelling reason. His complaints about how difficult it was to walk through the snow and his repeated questions as to why this was happening to him made that easy to guess. Yet his appearance was peculiar in more ways than one.
Not only did yellow scales accompany the freckles on his cheeks, but a scaled tail extended from his lower back, curling in on itself.
Amelia sighed, stepped away from the pot, and began sweeping her home, for she knew she would soon have visitors.
So i got into DND for the first time a few months ago and maybe, just maybe it´s my new obsession. I made a portrait of my character. Her name is Zephirah Zila, she is a duchess to be of the Zila house from Thethir!
Here they are! My Oc Amelia and Camilo in the Bridgerton universe. Camilo is going as a chameleon that´s why the scales, but Amelia is not going as anyone in particular.
It´s been a while since i posted something on tumblr, hope i´m able to change that soon.
After watching episode 7, I was talking about it with a friend of mine @ladyoranges and we came up with a few theories about it.
TADC Theories:
First, there actually is a company behind all of this, which looks for individuals who are in bad situations and makes them voluntarily put on the headsets so they enter the Digital Circus. The Digital Circus is designed to test the limits of the human mind, to see what makes people give up and “abstract” themselves.
Second theory: everything that the NPC Abel has told us is true. They are the memories of one of the players, specifically Kinger’s memories. This is confirmed when Jax mentions that Caine can get into their minds.
Also, since Kinger is the one who has been there the longest, it’s interesting that he’s the one who went insane. It makes more sense to me that Caine, seeing Kinger as a threat, abstracted Queenie so that Kinger would completely lose his sanity. That way, Caine could easily get into Kinger’s mind and extract all his knowledge about how the Digital Circus works at an administrator level, as well as how humans could escape from it—precisely to prevent that from happening.
Because we know that Caine’s breaking point is being unable to do the one thing he is programmed for, that is, his reason for existing.
All of this leads me to a third theory: Abel, the NPC, is a reflection of Kinger—in other words, Abel is Kinger’s real name. Since Caine extracted Kinger’s memories about the company and the functioning of the Digital Circus as an administrator, it’s also possible that he extracted Kinger’s name and personality when he was still sane. In this way, Caine has someone under his total control who gives him access to the players’ genuine reactions and allows him to see the flaws within the Digital Circus in order to fix them and prevent humans from escaping.
This would also mean that Kinger is one of the main programmers, or even one of the founders of C&A.
These are some of the theories I have—I have more, but what do you think about these?
Some sketches of Jax from ep 5, 6 and some of my own. I really loved The last episode of The Amazing Digital Circus. I'm thinking about sketching not only Jax, since he's my favourite character, but also other characters to see if I can get my hands lose when drawing them. I'm even planning on doing an OC from Digital Circus, but that will be seen in the future.
shoutout to slow growers, late bloomers, people whose plans got derailed by circumstances beyond their control or their own choices, people who never had a plan to begin with, people who have had to start over when theyre too old to feel like theyre supposed to be where they are, people who cant pretend theyre built for the environment theyre in, and everyone who's not living the life they thought they would. im proud of you for making it this far and i hope you keep going until youre happy ♡
We did a challenge with other artists, an Art-Telephone! The challenge worked like this: I would make a sketch and pass it on to an artist to create an illustration in their style, but with my sketch as a base. Then, another artist would pass me their sketch so I could finish the illustration based on it.
With this in mind, I created this illustration using @kay_in_pigtails (that is her instagram account) sketch, and I passed my sketch on to @gw_doodlez_ (that´s her instagram account) Go check out their accounts (on instagram) if you want to see what the original sketch looked like or how @gw_doodlez_ finished mine!
I think it was me who broke the chain.
