It has been seven months since my last update! So much stuff has happened, it’s crazy. I never made an update post regarding BFX; so here is my team’s final film that we made for Dyslexia Action!

It was rather tough at times and it definitely made me pick up some new skills along the way. That whole summer was an amazing experience, and hopefully I will get to do it again this year :)

Almost forgot! I’m a few days late, but WE MADE IT INTO BFX! This summer shall be a goldmine of opportunity, learning, and pain. 

And very little sleep.

02/06/2015 Man, has it been a while since I’ve drawn anything for leisure! I’M ALIVE :D drained, but alive. Things are going well. One more exam.

WIP, I guess. Maybe I’ll go back and fill in the background, so that it doesn’t look like her arm is floating.

 Feeling good. I’ve found my inspiration again. Happy :)

Some character designs for our entry to this year’s BFX competition! Feedback welcome and much appreciated :)

Alright, so I can’t claim much credit with this one. I pretty much sat next to Mike and pointed at the screen demanding things from him while he actually did the work. Apparently I am an *art director*.

IPAD QUALITY PHOTO BECAUSE I AM CURRENTLY IN FLORENCE!

Which means a lot of churches and museums. Which is lovely, though I am getting really tired of Medieval and Renaissance depictions of the Madonna and the Child. Seriously, if I see another one, I will puke. 

So, instead, here is a doodle based on a kickass Byzantine carving of Empress Ariadne, which I found in the Bargello! Though I might have misinterpreted her crown as being a funky hairstyle. Still, she looked like an awesome lady, and I might draw her some more.

26/03/2015 - Life drawing, Monique

Last life drawing session of the year, and my visual studies deadline is tomorrow! Ended up sneaking into a different group's session to get those extra two hours in. Feeling mostly prepared for the deadline.

Somehow the first two hours were rubbish, and then it just clicked. Pretty much achieved a third of the requirements for the portfolio within one hour, sweet!

Planning on adding more detail (and possibly colour?) to the two costume concept pieces at the top. And now I probably won't be doing any life drawing until October :(
