Ok, I can't currently, at 20 past 11 at night, stop thinking about Neil Perry with a wonky walk. Like he has a left lean walk or something like that where he is always slowly walking off to the left. Charlie definitely, at first, thought Neil was coming onto him with how much he was getting into his personal space, but then he saw Neil walk out of the dining hall, from his place at the table, and saw how he slowly veered to the left.
Charlie, thinking Neil knows about the way he walks, just subtly helps him stay in the right direction even if it sometimes drives him up the wall. The thing is though, Neil doesn't know this fact about himself and is always confused when he smacks into things because he could have sworn he wasn't that close to it before.
Neil is most definitely banned from going into the woods on his own because the one time he did go into the woods by himself, he got so lost that it was the next day before anyone found him. He insists that he doesn't know how he got lost, and annoyed he walks away from them, and all the poets can do is sigh as they watch Neil slowly walk off to the left and of course Neil is looking up at the birds in a near by tree and not where he is going. And he wonders why he got lost in the first place.
Ok, my brain just went (aka like weeks ago) that Remus Lupin, while still being an incredible half blood, should be related to like every or some pureblood families.
Remus’ grandfather married a Prince
They had four kids
Lyall, Euphemia, Gomeisa and Augusta
Lyall marries a muggle woman
Euphemia marries a Potter
Gomeisa marries a Malfoy
Augusta marries a Longbottom
(Also, in this I picture, Remus is attending Hogwarts' younger like Barty may or may not have done, so instead, he's like a year or two younger.)
So, James, Lucius, Frank, Remus, and Severus are all related.
Before Lucius attends Hogwarts, Remus would spend all his time at Malfoy manor because Lyall wanted nothing to do with Remus after the bite, and Lucius forced his parents to take him in. So when Lucius started attending Hogwarts, Remus could only spend the holidays at the Malfoys. And because of how Lyall was treating Remus during the time between breaks, Dumbledore took pity on Remus and sent him to Hogwarts a couple years early.
James and Frank/ Euphemia and Augusta had no idea Remus existed since they had cut off contact with Lyall because of his world views. It wasn't until they heard his name being called that James and Frank looked at each other and went holy shit. (Because he spent the train ride with Lucius)
Remus, at first, really tried to have a good relationship with Snape, and so did James, but Severus wouldn't stop insulting Remus about his appearance and his subdued personality. James and Frank put their foot down because they couldn't bear to see Remus hurt.
When they found out about him being a werewolf and Lucius told them about how when he was with Lyall, Remus spent most of his time locked up in a silver cage. When it got back to Euphemia, she absolutely lost her shit at Lyall and took custody of Remus when they were in their 4th year.
That same year (4th year, Lucius' 7th year), Lucius had chosen to stick with his family for the war and told Remus over owl that he was no longer welcome at the Malfoys. Lucius hated having to do this because he genuinely loved Remus, and considered himself his big brother, but this disconnection from Remus soured Lucius' personality, and he was slowly turned into the person he is today.
Feitan can go several days without sleep but when he does sleep it’s for 12+ hours and it’s like he’s in a goddamn coma.
The only person who knows where he goes to sleep is Phinks and one time they had to skedaddle out of a hideout pretty fast and Feitan and Phinks were nowhere to be found, until Phinks showed up carrying a sleeping Feitan like a sack of potatoes and made the entire troupe swear on their lives not to tease him about it.
The last time Leo had laid was 2 and a half years ago before going on his bullshit solo trip. He thought he needed to go to the bathroom at first, but once he got there, Leo felt the overwhelming urge to push, and suddenly he’s never been so scared. He’s nowhere near dilated enough to do this, he knows this because he’s been locked up for 2 and a half years and Leo has become so attuned to his body that he would have noticed the change. Not to mention he’s nowhere near recovered from malnourishment he’s way too shaky. Now that he had time to wind down, he no longer has enough strength to do this, or maybe he never did. If Donnie hadn’t stumbled upon Leo trying to make it to his room while he was getting a drink, he’d hate to think what would have happened. He got Leo situated in his bed, Leo’s shell resting against Donnie’s plastron as Donnie rubbed at his brother's stomach.
‘It’s gonna hurt.’
‘I know.’
‘I’m not dilated enough.’
‘I know.’
‘I haven’t done this since before I left…’
‘I know.’
‘How’d you know that?’
‘You wouldn’t be looking so scared if you had.’
‘...I’m terrified Donnie…’
‘I’ll be there every step of the way.’
‘W-what if I bleed? I’ve never done that before..’
‘I’ll take care of you Lee.’
‘I’m sorry.’
‘What for?’
‘For not coming back. For everything.’
‘It’s not your fault your thoughts won. If anything I blame Splinter.’
‘Why?’
‘Because you need us, as much as we need you. And Splinter took you away from us.’
‘I could of come back…’
‘You could have, but it’s not your fault your mind's demons won. At least you came back.’
‘Are you mad?’
‘Unbelievably so. But I’ve had six months to think about it. I’m more mad I couldn’t be there for you, that I didn’t pack our brothers up to go look for you.’
‘..Oh..’
‘Oh?’
‘...I think I’m too… weak to do this.’
‘I know.’
‘I regret not coming back.’
‘I know.’
‘What if I can’t get through this?’
‘I won’t let you not get through this. I already lost you for 2 years, I refuse to put a body with it.’
‘Ok.’
‘Just ok?’
‘Yeah… I trust you.’
‘You should start trying to push. Otherwise there could be more complications than there already are going to be.’
I can’t stop thinking about Sanemi’s dislike of Giyuu because it’s so unconventional in terms of typical hatred’s and rivalries in shonen anime. It isn’t a dislike of his personhood or a desire to see him dead, but of his attitude. Sanemi doesn’t like Giyuu because he thinks he won’t let himself be the man/hashira he knows he could be. His ‘attitude’ problem is Sanemi’s actual grievance, not him as a person. And this whole grievance is entirely based on a misunderstanding. Truthfully I feel like without the misunderstanding, these two could have gotten very close pre-Infinity Castle. They’re so similar in their experiences and attitudes. They both carry the weight of their grief so heavily with them and the guilt they feel is a constant reminder of why they have to keep pushing, why they have to keep going and see Muzan defeated.
Even Giyuu’s desire to befriend Sanemi out of all the Hashira is proof of this. Giyuu sees beyond the hard exterior, beyond the smokescreen Sanemi puts up to keep others away. He respects Sanemi’s abilities just as Sanemi respects his (hence the added anger because he knows Giyuu is such a good fighter and yet ‘acts like he isn’t a Hashira’), enough for them to spar with each other and to be fairly matched while at it.
They both just go to such lengths to deny themselves what they desire most and struggle so badly with forgiving themselves for what they did or did not do. Crimes which the people they committed them against wouldn’t have even considered cases that needed forgiveness, but they still carry that guilt with them emotionally and physically. Giyuu with his haori as a constant reminder of the people he fails to save and Sanemi with his scars as a constant reminder of the worth he sees in himself. The physical and emotional manifestations of their guilt are exacerbated by their own self inflicted isolation. Giyuu with everyone and Sanemi with Genya. The only times we see them cry as adults is when they’ve failed to protect the last person they had left (Sanemi with Genya and Giyuu with Tanjiro). For one painful horrible moment, they allow themselves enough mercy to actually strip away the hurt and anger they cloak themselves in to grief the children they failed to protect from this fate, allow themselves to give into the emotions they both keep locked away in their own ways.
They both understand what it’s like to lose everyone you ever cared about, to feel like you have no true reason to exist beyond what is expected of you, to feel so keenly that the people around you deserve better than to be associated with someone like you, to feel like an outsider amongst outsiders, to be so burdened by negative emotions that even trying to begin to sort through them would be pointless, to have such soft hearts that had no choice but to be beaten into hardened warriors. You quite honestly can’t convince me that these two make no sense or that Sanemi hates Giyuu so they wouldn’t work together because the blatant truth is that Sanemi doesn’t hate Giyuu and Giyuu in fact chooses him out of everyone as a potential friend because he knows they’d understand each other
Neil Perry becomes a flustered mess whenever the mention of kissing or sex is brought up, but is the most tactile person on the planet. Adores and gives out hugs like they are going out of fashion.
Todd Anderson, on the other hand, his cheeks are on fire every single time without fail. Whenever someone initiates physical intimacy with him. But on the other hand, he is easily capable of kissing, making out, etc, as long as he's comfortable with the person.
Getting with Neil helped Todd's confidence tremendously because if he wanted a kiss or something more, he'd have to be the one to initiate it.
