Meditation to Pan.

Breathe in, visualize a ball of light enter your body into your head. Hold it there. Program the energy by Vibrating “Lo Lo Pan”, with the intent to Call on Him. Slowly take the light all throughout your body. Fusing with His essence. Breathe in again, do the same, making the charge stronger each time. If/when you make full contact, you’ll #Know+%.

-Note-

It helps to simultaneously -feel- like you are floating downwards throughout the meditation. It’s a path way within, lined with magical nostalgia taught to me a long time ago.

Demon Lord of Love

The way we relate to, or translate the 0ther realm is unique to all of us. So if for example a spirit, or a Demon you always read about as male, feels, or expresses itself as female to you, your experience is what is right for you. The same goes for correspondences.

In comparison to many spirits and deities, one of my Favorite Demons, Lord Rosier has little information about Him so widely available. I’ve had to solely rely on my meditation and discernment skills to know Him.

Someone recently posted correspondences for Lord Rosier on their blog/website that I came across, here they are including my experiences edited next to them:

Direction: South

Planet: Venus 

Metal:  Rose Gold (I have no clue).

Element: Fire (I’ve read watery part of fire in other places which also feels right).

Colors used when working with him: Black, Red, Rose Pink, Rose, Rose Red (Pink, Magenta and purple were included in this list but they feel wrong to me). I’d also add Maroon, Gold, Silver, Burgandy and crimson to that list.

Incense and Scents used when connecting with him: Rose, Lavender, Peony and Lilac (I don’t know), Vanilla, Red Cedar. (I’d also add Sandalwood, as well as herbs such as cinnamon and ginger). And cloves ! I say that because there’s an element of Death, not literal Death, more like sweet sweet corruption, like an End to innocence. That being said I find that Death energy from other sources and Love energy work together really well in Witchcraft, I don’t know why, but a friend once mentioned to me that that is right as somewhere maybe ancient Greece ? (I don’t remember) they apparently had a similar experience. But I don’t possess the historical knowledge to know if that is accurate. I also associate chocolate, coffee, honey, strawberries, blueberries and cherries with Him.

Other associations that I have of him include, Incubi, sex, love, infatuation, tainted love, Yoga-Tantra, Energy work, Magic, BDSM (maybe metaphorically in most instances), and corruption of sexual innocence. I found Him incredibly good to work with in learning how to shield and protect yourself.

That being said, even though some of this sounds dark and I agree with the article in that the Dark side of love isn’t something He rejects but teaches me to accept and embrace as a valid part of it, His presence feels incredibly positive. Every time I work with him or cast a spell, every cell in my entire body feels like it’s soaking in that feeling you get in your mouth and pleasure centers of the brain when you eat ice cream. I also involuntarily connect to what feel like memories of a past life in New York and time spent in Idaho, and my Death, the feeling of a car moving forward really fast and then everything goes black. I don’t feel qualified to form a solid enough opinion on reincarnation, in that sense anyway, but who knows. It feels really real when it happens though, like images and emotions had been buried deep in my subconscious the whole time. But then it goes away and leaves the forefront of my mind. I can’t connect to it at will.

I met Him through such an intense infatuation, I’d be standing in line at Starbucks glowing and radiating a storm of energy every time I thought about my then boss, that it’d almost feel like any more and it’d lift me off the ground where I stood. Though, simultaneously His presence lacks the intimidating effects other entities don’t. The entire world went from mundane to so incredibly magical. I learned a lot about energy work, seduction and the dark side of seemingly positive personality traits through that experience.

The Devil and Witchcraft

(In response to someone’s blog post, but I thought I would post it for the rest of you, too.) 

The Devil, that Old Spry Goat, is, basically, central to witchcraft. We can not escape him. We are eternally tied to him, and he to us. It is impossible to not be connected to him in the minds of cowans.

Now, to traditional witches the Devil is not an entity of evil. He is nature itself. Cruel at times, but also beautiful. Constantly shifting, turning, churning. As witches, we learn to read his signs, and know what is coming so that we can avoid it. In this we are both servant and master of the Devil.

He is the antithesis of the Christ. Where the Christ is compassionate to all, the Devil is compassionate to few. Where the Christ suffers, the Devil rises above and thrives. Where the Christ suppresses, the Devil liberates. Where the Christ is a Lamb, the Devil is a Goat. 

The Devil is Nature. In the bible it is stated that he is the Lord of Earth. It was believed by early Christians that Nature was evil, and of the Devil. Which is why the Mormons destroyed Utah. Sigh…environmental history. 

Anyway, the pagans revered nature (late animists, you know). Witches are of nature, and give in to natural pleasures. Therefore: they were connected with the Devil. They also confessed to be in league with him, so there was that, too. 

The Devil also freed us from our mindless enslavement. In many traditional witchcrafting traditions, the Serpent of the Garden of Eden is revered, and upheld as the Liberator of Mankind. To quote the late, great Chumbley:

“Eat of the Forbidden Fruit, and ye shall be as Gods! Eat and ye shall be Wise! Said the Serpent unto the Maid…”

And Ouspensky on the Devil card in the Tarot says: 

“And I heard the voice of the Devil: ‘I am Evil,’ he said, ‘at least so far as Evil can exist in this best of worlds. In order to see me, one must be able to see unfairly, incorrectly and narrowly. I close the triangle, the other two sides of which are Death and Time. In order to quit this triangle it is necessary to see that it does not exist. 

‘But how to do this is not for me to tell. For I am the Evil which men say is the cause of all evil and which they invented as an excuse for all the evil that they do. 

'They call me the Prince of Falsehood, and truly I am the prince of lies, because I am the most monstrous production of human lies.’”

Many who revere the Devil know he does not exist. Or, rather, can not be worshiped, or summoned, invoked, et cetera. He exists, surely, in an animistic way. He is a spiritual concept. An idea to rally around. But, he is also nature, and our natural selves. If we do not tend him, feed him, give in to him, and learn to control him, we will be controlled by him. As witches, we must understand the Shadow. We must dance with the Devil in Pale Starlight, become him, if we must, in order to control how he affects our lives. 

We are witches. We should have no fear of concepts like “eternal punishment”, or “the devil coming to steal our soul”. Or even of the big man upstairs. The Devil defies him, and so do we. Witches defy the civilized order of things. Ah! To quote the beautiful Jack Parsons:

We are the witchcraft […] We are on the side of man, of life, and of the individual. Therefore we are against religion, morality and government. Therefore our name is Lucifer. 

The Devil is the Great Liberator. Drink from the horse’s hoof, and praise his name, and he will never have need to harm you. To be a witch is to be of Him, whether you like it or not. Might as well give in, and pass through the Shadow to the Light.

Written Seals

Like signing a legally binding contract, this form of finalizing your magic involves writing or carving intentions into something else.

The written seal can be used to express any type of agreement between two parties. Those two parties can be you and a god, you and the universe, or you and someone that has petitioned you to do magic for them.

Written seals can be made using anything that will leave a mark on paper, including ink, pencil, crayon, chalk, charcoal, graphite, sand, clay, etc.

A written seal can be created in any number of ways, depending on what materials are available. For example, a simple signature can be done using the thumbprint. However, more elaborate seals can be created using a stamp, a pen, or even a knife.

Another form of written seal is a fingerprint done in blood or ink.

about working tools, knife, marking in metal, sword, other tools, dress, jewelry, horned helmet, inscriptions, your witch name

յ. the working tools are dictated by the tradition, usually every witch has a personal knife that in many traditions is called athame, it usually has a steel or iron double-edge blade and the length should be whatever feels comfortable for you

շ. if you’re not able to make one you can adapt an existing knife, the main point is that it should have something made by you, so get a knife (such as a hunting knife) and replace the handle and/or carve your craft name or monogram on it, don’t worry if you have one you think was used to murder someone, cause all tools after being made will be ritually cleansed and purified before use to remove any negative vibrations, then they’ll be personally charged and consecrated

Յ. the knife is your personal and magical tool and as such is something very special, so it’ll not do to simply go to a store and buy and unaltered ready-made knife, you have to work on it to make it your own

կ. there are two ways you can etch the blade to inscribe something on it: you can use wax, cut into that what you want on the blade, pour on acid or some other etching agent and then wash it after some minutes, or you can engrave the blade, writing on it with a proper engraving tool that can be motorized, it’s still effective but this method doesn’t give a solid marking as the acid etching

Տ. the knife can substitute the sword, that is usually not essential but many covens like to have a coven sword, usually used to mark the circle at the start of every meeting

ճ. other ritual tools are the wand, staff, bell, burin (or white-handled knife, an engraving tool used to mark the name or sigil ritually on your magickal tools) and cords, which use will depend on the path you decide to follow also, even if it’s recommended to work naked, if you prefer not to you can wear a robe, that can be as simple or as elaborate as you like, the material can be whichever but natural materials are preferred the book then illustrates a simple method to make one: first you have to measure from wrist to wrist with your arms outstretched for the height of the material, then from the nape of the neck to the ground for the length needed of material, fold it inside-out, cut each side as indicated and sew the sides

most witches used to wear white robes, lately more colors appears at festivals and in various traditions, a few wear black but, while acknowledging that it’s a powerful color, some think it plays up the misconception of equating Witchcraft to Satanism and it should be avoided, this is a religion of nature and nature is made of color, so let’s use them more! other things used can be jewelry, in some traditions used to signify ranks, usually made of silver or copper, and horned helmets, usually used by the priest in some rites where they specifically represents the God

Դ. about your craft name to etch on your working tools, there are a number of different magickal alphabets that can be used, the most popular are various runic alphabets and the theban form of writing the word rune means mystery or secret in early english and it’s charged with overtones, the book then shows the Saex-Wica runic alphabet, specifying that if there are double letters in a word any of the glyphs can be written backwards giving a mirror image

now, by starting the witchcraft path you are starting your life anew, so why not start it with a name or your choosing? Many choose a name that reflects their personality or describes them cause names are important, and powerful to choose a name you have to check out numerologically the ones you’d like, there are different systems of numerology but the one described here is the most commonly used, let’s give an example: Jessica born on 15 march 1962 wants to call herself Rowena Jessica will have to find her birth number by adding each digit of her date of birth, so 1+5+3+1+9+6+2=27 and bring that down to a single digit so 2+7=9, note that it’s important to include all the digits of the year too after having found the birth number she’ll have to find out the number of the name she chose, Rowena, so she’ll have to number each letter of the alphabet from 1 to 9 as in picture and then sum up the numbers as before, so 9+6+5+5+5+1=31=4

if, as in this case, the number of your chosen name doesn’t match you birth number, you could add letters to it to reach the right number, or try with another possible one

Ց. choose your own name and write it in various forms - your witch name should match your birth number cause it’s the one thing about you that is unchanging and by doing that you are aligning with the same vibration of the moment you chose to be born once you have found a proper witch name, practice writing it in various forms of magickal script

Blessing ogham

This ritual can take several months time to complete. It is designed to be this way. Many of the ingredients listed are very seasonal or specific. It is designed in a way where care is taken with each ogham stave or slice, allowing one to connect with the individual tree represented.

M-Vine

Bless the Muin ogham with a little wine, malt liquor.

O-Gorse

To bless, use a candle decorated with yellow flowers and a light green pebble. Pour a little wax from this on the Gorse ogham.

A-Silver Fir

To bless, waft satya silver spirit incense around the fir ogham. Move a decorative egg around the ogham three times.

U-Heather

To bless touch a honey yellow colored stone to the heather ogham. Also one could instead opt for dripping wax from a pure beeswax candle onto the heather ogham.

Samhain Blue Moon

Hello my friends,

As many of you likely know by now…this Samhain (or Halloween) not only lands on a full moon,  but this particular moon is a blue moon as well! So…what does that all mean?

What is a blue moon?

A blue moon means it is the second moon within the month. This October (2020) the was a full moon on the 1st and a full moon on the 31st. How is this magickally significant? Many believe that 2 full moons means 2x the power! 

What is the October Full Moon - Blood Moon / Hunting Moon?

Many of you are familiar with the different esbats (full moon gatherings). In many traditions the esbats are when you complete spells and spirit work and Sabbats (holidays) are reserved for gratitude and honoring spirts/elements. 

In the “old world” the October full moon is one of the 3 harvest moons. It is a time to harvest and preserve food and gather and dry herbs.  Honoring your ancestors, gathering with family, having a large feast, and mingling with the spirit world are all activities to focus on during the October full moon.

What is Samhain?

Samhain is one of the most popular witches holiday in pop-culture. But for most witches and wiccan’s, it looks very different than it does in the movies. 

On All Hallow’s Eve, or Samhain, the veil is thinnest between worlds. That means divination, spirit work, communicating with/honoring loved ones and remembrance are all the most powerful at this time. (Add a blue moon and you have yourself a party!)

Odds are they’re trying to make as little of a scene as possible as they drag you away, and if you’re putting up a fight and very clearly ‘drunk’, eyes will turn on them and they’ll either need to let you go, or cause a serious scene, which they don’t want. Don’t just act like you’re just protesting being taken home, though. Fight like your life depends on it even if they aren’t assaulting you. Cause. A. Scene. That’s the last thing they want.
