was having a normal conversation with my mother about the dem race for governor and my mother goes "i like [one of the men] because he's got experience in government already". i interject with the fact that the leading female candidate also has experience in government and worked as a representative. she was just silent.

people assume this all the time if you pay attention, people will assume all sorts of things that lower the skills and experience of women politicians to uplift even the least qualified man

i think i’ve said this before but there are hundreds of men who truly belive rape is worse when it happens to them

On average rapists who target boys and men are given tougher sentences than rapists who target girls and women. I’d say it’s more than just hundreds if systematically rapists are punished more severely if they target boys and men, considering most judges giving these tougher sentences for anyone who targets boys and men but a more lenient sentence if they target girls and women are men themselves.
