Probably one of the more detailed designs I've been able to pull off even though it's not for a very popular park! I'm super happy how Biscayne National Park turned out and decided to go the extra mile with more color because coral reef life has to be represented for a park that's 95% underwater! THEY'RE ALIVE 🎉 Serious shout-out to @pb_corner for making this idea into a reality! Wouldn't have been able to pull off this limited run of park ornaments without her! They came out beautifully. 😭😭😭 Aside from just being wood, there's an option to upgrade with an acrylic overlay which features a magical visitor and really puts the finishing touch on the snowglobe design. ❄️ I'm so proud of our collaboration and being able to get this made domestically by two women-owned small businesses. There are 6 designs now available in the shop: Arches, Grand Canyon, Shenandoah, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Zion! 🎄 Going to give first dibs on expgained.com and then they'll be listed in etsy starting next week! Again it's a super limited run but definitely glad to have made them to brighten my feed with some holiday spirit! Once the artwork is submitted and bakes at a manufacturer overseas for about a month ...🍞... Bam! Some intangible thought has made its way into the physical realm and is now a tangible object to share with others (or yourself)! Now the process doesn't end here, it's now finding others who love the work and having those others help find others to find you! (Did you keep up? Hahah 😅) Because I can't be out in front of everyone all day everyday, packaging and brand cohesion is what actually sells the product... So phase 3 is bundling the final product with some irresistible packaging so buyers will remember the experience and the brand. My biggest rule of thumb is give lots of shits (no, not necessarily free stuff!) But to put care behind every single part of the process. My adoration for the outdoors stems from all the unique experiences every adventure has provided. I wanted to make sure my brand communicates the same love for being outside by avoiding all shape and form of plastic. Everything used to bundle the product is paper and recyclable. In addition to making sure my creations are making as little negative impact as possible in the present, I figured they'd be a great way to also make a positive impact for the future too! I put aside a percentage of each park pin to donate to the very lands that inspire the work and also other orgs to help provide relief and/or promote knowledge to taking care of our little blue home 🌎 because I sure as heck want to keep going on adventures and discovering new places with others!
