(( I am now accepting plots for Qrow. Hit me up on chat for to plot. ))
@a-dusty-old-qrow How long had it been since she left? Had it really been almost a year? She could not believe it. She sighed as her feet started the ache. She needed to stay an in tonight. Camping was not something she was in the mood to do. She was so thankful for the village to come into view.
Lia sighed as the smell of booze, something baking in the kitchen, and the smell of gentleman behind her made her wish she wasn’t here. She’d gotten the news went she off looking for Qrow. She needed to find him. She was so worried… he needed her and she knew it. He had stood by her and now time for to stand by him. She just hoped she would find him soon. People had talked to about him in this area.
She found him sitting at a table and her heart sank… he looked so different now.
“Qrow?” Her voice showing some of her concern her dull silver eyes giving it fully away.
Hunched over a table in the back corner of a a small town Inn was generally how he spent his evenings now. The frosted lowball glass cold in his loose grip. What was this, four… or maybe five? He’d lost count and didn’t particularly care as long as they kept coming.
Thankfully Ozpin had pointed him in the way of this job. It’s been easy enough. Slay some Grimm, protect a town. Basic as far as jobs came. At least it’d been a chance to escape. Escape Vale, escape Patch. Escape his normal life, the glares, the questions. Escape the fact that it’d all become so much colder and grayer since…
Summer.
He raised his glass and drained it before slamming it down on the table. The burn as it slid down his throat wasn’t exactly pleasant but it was something. It took him a little closer to the numb he was looking for.
“Qrow?”
He turned toward the sound of his name, finding it’s source in the gray figure standing before him.
“Hey…” was all he could muster.
“Can I sit?” She asked. She had been warned but this. This was not her Qrow. Not at all. What happened to him? She was a flurry of emotions. How could Oz let him do this? He was going to slowly kill himself. “Are you okay?” Was all she could really muster. She was trying not to make a scene, she was aware of people rather slyly watching this scene play out.
“I ain’t gonna stop you,” he huffed, attempting to flag down a waittress.
He looked like hell, tired, bags like bruises under his eyes. Already he reeked of job must and alcohol. Even the waitress had a mild look of concern.
“Oh, I’m fantastic. Never better,” he answered. “You want a drink? Another, make it a double.”
“When was the last time you slept.” She asked him. “How….” She stopped she wasn’t sure if she wanted to know the answer. “When was the last time you bathed.” She pointed out. “I smell better than you do.” She pointed out.
“Don’t lie to me.” She scold while taking a seat. “You know I’m not suppose to drink.” She sighed. “I could… relapse.” She sighed. “Maybe it’s time you called it a night.”
"Let's see," he scratched his head. "Dunno, dunno, and I'm just getting started."
He turned to take his fresh drink from the waitress before hunching over again.
"What are you even doing here, Lia? Don't you have your own corner of the forest to crawl off to?"

“We told him it was just a kilt. He’d never worn a uniform before so he didn’t know.” “Hahaha. That is terrible…” “Hey! The girls all said he had nice legs. I did that jerk a favor.”

Qrow's Signature Look
A headcanon. Okay, now that I did my big angst dumb about the fall out of Team STRQ here's a cute headcanon instead. When Qrow first came to Beacon, his personal outfit was much more akin to the styles of Mistral, much like what Raven wears. It was ragged and a bit old bit it suited him fine. He generally knew little about inner kingdom fashion or was standard dress was like in Vale, hence Tai tricking him into wearing the girls' uniform. It wasn't until about halfway through their second year, on a team bonding trip to Vale's shopping district that he would spot what would become his signature look through a store front window. Summer, seeing his interest, of course dragged him inside to try it on. She and Tai had been begging him to update his look for months. He tries it on and Summer and Tai greatly approve (think the treat yo self reactions to the Batman suit) meanwhile Raven just rolls her eyes Of course, Qrow doesn't have the lien to pay for such a garment but Summer and Tai both insist on getting it for him. He leaves the shop with his new jacket and a pair of trousers and Tai chuckles about how they'll need to find him some new shoes. Qrow doesn't understand why. He's wearing sandals.
