Oh-!
"I left my tea too long, it’s no good cold…"
"Time for a new cup, anyone want to come with me?"
"You're making tea?"
"I still have no idea what Halloween is … does anyone know? Is it soon? Am I expected to do something?"
"It’s a holiday they have up here! I’ve only been once, it’s at the end of October I think…it’s about like, costumes and candy. Being spooky and stuff…”
"Spooky? Like … that means what? Ghostly?" Patch grinned. "You’ve been? What’s it like?"
"Well uhm…I just went to a party and dressed up. But I think they do some park things? I know I have a new song list for Dappers….do you want to do something for halloween? We could get costumes?"
"Y-yeah!" Patch grinned widely. "But what costumes? What do people usually dress up as?"
"It’s meant to be something scary, but characters work well too you know. Last year I went as Harley Quinn, and Cheshire dressed up as the Joker!"
Patch screwed up his face in thought. He had very little idea who Harley Quinn and the Joker were, but the idea of it was evident to him.
"Could I dress up as something?" He looked at Johnny with excited eyes. Something scary - he knew exactly what!
Patch squinted in confusion. “So they started scaring people early?” He frowned. That didn’t seem right. “B-but it’s fun, you said, so …” His eyes widened slightly. “Do people like being scared?”
"I don’t really know. Human customs are odd to me. Where I’m from, we wouldn’t have started decorating until it got closer to the holiday itself." Thackery nodded and continued, "Being scared is like a rush for some people. I hate being scared, but to each their own I guess."
"But you decorate." Patch nodded. He'd learned that detail; well done him. "I don't really like being scared," he said with a small pout. "Marieanne used to think it was funny to jump out at me, and grab for my neck ..." He didn't seem to find this quite as disturbing as it probably warranted. He was used to living with a group of viruses, and was desensitized to their antics, even if said antics involved an attempt at murdering him.

Patch grinned. The purr reminded him of someone he knew, and it was a really new way for someone to talk, and besides, she could turn into a wolf -
He jumped about a foot in the air when she turned into him. Innate curiosity or no innate curiosity, Patch wasn’t used to that.
"O-oh! Wow! That’s - that’s cool!" He smiled a little, not letting his fear show through. "A-are you … ?"
Val laughed softly, the boy’s fascination was cute to say the least. And it amused her a bit. She hadn’t got much of a chance to play with her new found ability. She was human, after all. Well…. normally. But this place was full of magic, she knew. And apparently some had decided to let her have a little fun for a bit.
She mirrored his every move, just to amuse herself. The jump, the the smile… until he questioned her. Then she shifted her form again to someone she’d seen in the hall earlier, and then to her own natural form. “Am I…?”
She shapeshifted and Patch jumped because suddenly he was facing a picture-perfect reflection of Vira. His system threw up a warning sign, an emotion akin to "!!!!" before she settled back into her own form.
"A-are you naturally a - a lose code? Uhm ... I think the user word is shapeshifter?" He grinned awkwardly at her. Yes, he was unsettled. That was no excuse to be rude.
"Things change ‘gain! Which one now?"
"Which one when?" Patch asked in confusion, looking down at the beta. What a strangely compressed file - it was smaller than him, and younger too. He knelt to be on its level. "What’re you talking about?"
Jonnie paused for a moment, standing still as the stranger spoke. He didn’t seem scary, and he was here in the big house they all shared. He must be good then! “The new stuff! Sparkly and red and green!”
"Oh! The -" Patch realized he didn’t know the word. "The stuff! Yeah!" He grinned. "Thackery said it’s for - Krismoose?"
"Kiss-moose? Why?"
"No, with an 'r'. Kriss-moose." Patch frowned. "I don't know why." Then be brightened. "They must like decorating a whole lot, though, because they seem to have touched everything!"
Hey~!
"I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever."
"Hi - er, have we met?" He cocked his head to the side. "You're the DJ, right? I mean," he hurriedly corrected himself, "the other DJ. Not the Administrator, or the ... DJ ..." He bit his lip. Yeah, that was how to impress her. "I mean the DJ here," he finished lamely.

"There’s nowhere we can hide."
"Don’t get too close."
"Maybe I should kill myself."
"I’m not listening."
"No one can hurt you now."
"Who do you think you are?"
"You’re gonna catch a cold."
"I wish that you would just leave."
"I love the way you laugh."
"A little evil goes a long, long way."
"Drink the wine."
"Maybe we could stick around for one more drink."
"Here’s to us."
"The last few days have kicked my ass."
"Nothing lasts forever."
"I don’t know what went wrong."
"I don’t need you here."
"Did I fall asleep?"
"I will not die."
"I’ll wait here for you."
"I feel numb."
"Deal with it."
"I don’t care."
"I hate the way I love you."
"I have no regrets."
"I love you too much to hide you."
"I didn’t kill anybody."
"There is no God."
"All monsters are human."
"You look beautiful, but you don’t look fine."
"You’re a liar and a cheat."
"Why do you think I’m here?"
"Crap, are you pregnant?"
"This is just perfect."
"You’ve done enough already."
"Do you know about the box?"
"Things change ‘gain! Which one now?"

... who's Sandy Claws?
"Santa Clause. He’s that big guy in red that you see around stores. He brings you presents on Christmas Day."
"… Christmas?" Patch skimmed through his memory files. He had nothing on any Christmas.
“It’s a holiday. There’s usually gift giving and snow and being by the fire to keep warm.”
Patch screwed up his eyes, trying to imagine that. He'd never seen a fire, but snow ...
"Snow is the cold, wet stuff, right?" He frowned. "Vira took me to the Outlands, once, she called the white stuff snow. Is...it the same out here?"

And truth be told, I never was yours
The fear, the fear of falling apart
Oh, this is the beat of my heart
Everyone! Please! Stop arguing!
"I - er - yes? - No! No, I’m alright." He smiled and adjusted the box in his arms. "My - my sister-function -" And here he blushed again, because Vira was not his sister-function, and he did not think of her that way, but he had to lie. “- doesn’t really like visitors. But thank you!” He stepped closer. “Are you sure you’re unhurt?”
"But if you are in need of assistance…" She persisted looking at him, hopelessly. What was one suppose to do when someone needed help but wouldn’t accept it? "I could assist you as far as I am allowed without intruding upon your sister-functions space should you like?" She smiled at his question and nodded. "I am positive. I am undamaged."
"I - I suppose that'd be alright." Patch was about to drop the box he was carrying, if he had to be honest, and some help would be appreciated. But how would he explain the contents - ?
"G-good! That you're alright. I'd feel really bad if I'd damaged you." He smiled. "Er - are you sure you're strong enough to help me? I mean, I can get one of the other vi - one of my other siblings to help me. If you don't want to lift." Oh Flynn, he sounded so insulting. "It's really heavy," he added lamely.

Patch stumbled and nearly slammed into the woman. He blushed immediately and skipped back a few steps, wincing in sympathy. His arms were full of a box, or else he would have helped stabilize her - as was, he just launched into apologies.
"Oh my user, I’m so sorry, are you alright? Did I hurt you?"
Siri wasn’t watching where she was going, she was lost in thought about directions to a certain place when the boy bumped into her. She stumbled and promptly landed on her rear on the ground. But she pulled herself back up rather quickly and beamed. “No harm done, I’m fine.” She quickly checked herself over as she said that, like she assumed. Everything was fine.
"Are you in need of assistance?"
"I - er - yes? - No! No, I'm alright." He smiled and adjusted the box in his arms.
