About Me

I'm Josey! I'm a 30-something tarot manifestation advisor, and witch. You can use any pronouns to refer to me. I try to treat others how I want to be treated. It is important to me to try and learn as much as I can about the world and the various creatures and peoples in it. I welcome anyone who wishes to cultivate curiosity and kindness into their lives.

In tarot readings, I am thorough, honest, and try to always give actionable advice. I try my best to avoid feeding divination addiction, and to direct people towards seeking appropriate help when necessary.

What is Tarot Manifestation?

In a nutshell: ask not what will happen to you, but how you can make what you want happen. This method of reading puts the querent in control, rather than letting the metaphorical car of life drive itself.

A Little Update...

I am feeling like I want to continue to do tarot readings as part of my life, but I have become much busier since moving that I don't reliably have the time to sit down and do Free Reading Fridays like I used to.

So, this has left me pondering how I want to go about this.

I personally find tarot to be very affirming and cathartic. And as you may have noticed, there are readings that I prefer to do vs. readings I shy away from. I think of tarot as a reflecting pool. You can use it to ask about something other than yourself, but in the end the pool can only reflect yourself back to you. So, use it to focus on yourself! This is why I don't like answering questions about celebrities, how someone feels about you, what is in your future, etc. It isn't that tarot can't forecast these things: it's just that most of the time, I don't think it is actually helpful to you. And, I don't like doing readings that I don't feel are going to be helpful in some way.

What's Next?

I've been thinking that I want to do 33 blind readings. I want them to be big and juicy readings, too, not just a paragraph or two or three. I want them to provide insight on something you need to work on in yourself in order to be a more fulfilled version of yourself, something which perhaps you are not even aware of. I want my readings to make you feel seen, understood, and reassured.

this month I asked my talented friend Josey for another tarot reading which she so kindly delivered free of charge during my time of need !!!

HERE is where she answered my crazy question about self-growth/how to kin a bad bitch

Josey's spread of cards came from a Horror oracle/Wickerman deck, and also a Mind's Eye tarot deck, which she provided with vivid descriptions and explanations. i LOVE horror and the drawn cards were super interesting… it's very hard to be kind to myself and the explanations actually give concrete advice so I have new ways to practice self-love. and actually, I didn't think I was meant to focus on self-love until I was looking at what Josey had written! so that was illuminating to me, as someone who's struggled to envision a path to being a baddie . it just makes so much sense, because I need to value myself more if I want to Transform in the way I want, and I had unconsciously skipped over that step in my mind!

I must say for the two times I received a reading, once during the New Year and again at present, Josey gave me a ton of insight(SEE ABOVE!!) she is so eloquent and compassionate and careful with her words, when reading her explanations I always want to cry and explode, kind of like a shewolf transforming under a full moon. this is not to say that Josey sugarcoats anything, she really offers hard truths in a way that inspires me, just giving that extra push… For this current reading specifically, I loved the caterpillar/butterfly(BLOB) metaphor, and I especially LOVE this term she coined, "Egg Time" (from THE HERMIT) which I've been falling back on during mental lows. I get a lot out of Josey's reading it is rewiring my brain, it is giving me energy and so much inspiration. she puts a lot of care and attention to make these readings detailed and personal to me.

all in all it was an incredible reading and I highly recommend @a-tarot-a-day to anyone needing any guidance, reassurance or advice in Self-Becoming… or even if ur just a lil curious about tarot!! it's AWESOME it's like I'm receiving a spell from a dear friend who happens to be a badass witch!

Been busy... my partner has had some time off work, and we have been enjoying hanging out together.

But I've been feeling like I want to do some readings, so a few will likely appear in the coming days...

I'm sorry to say, but things are only going to get better when we all stop participating in normalizing them

That means organizing and participating in as many strikes as possible. Find and join a union. Create one if you must. Organize. Use your voice. These are your rights, and if you do not use them you will lose them.

I know many of you are scared. I understand the feeling, the pressure, and the fear. I really do.

But it will be so worth it to choose basic dignity and quality of life for all human beings. We can build a better future together when we see each other as individual people, take the hand of our neighbor, and practice collaborating in good faith to solve our mutual problems.

I promise you, there are other people out there who want to do this with you. If you feel like you don't belong in this world because it is not the kind of world you want to be a part of, then in whatever way you can you must wholeheartedly work to force it to resemble the world you want. All of us doing this together is what it takes.

You actually cannot skip to being good at a creative endeavour that you haven't put much practice into. You cannot trick your way out of the 'knows that your work is not what you want it to be but don't know how to improve it' stage by planning or reading or talking about it really really hard. At some point you just have to craft through it until your brain finds it's own unique way back to the 'everything I make slaps' stage and be prepared to start the cycle all over again. You just have to make that project you're excited about slightly less good than you want it to be. (Says this standing in a pool of blood and covered in blood and also coughing up a little blood)
