honestly whether or not gerard is working on a my chem thing, i do believe We Have Been Back and also the way my chem found their way back to each other is fucking beautiful

the way frank talked about being nervous to play music together again because they were all friends again after years of a complicated and strained relationship.

how when they did start playing together just for each other they realized it felt fucking amazing. And they kept playing and that turned into wanting to play a show together. Then a tour. they went from being nervous that playing together in one of their homes might be enough to change things and break their friendship again to feeling safe and confident and excited to play live again.

mikey has said that since he got back on stage this time around with my chem he didn’t feel that constant fear he used to.

when they started rehearsals they felt so inspired by reworking old songs that they paused rehearsals to write a brand new song.

and we had them writing and playing around with a song all tour.

it’s just incredible to watch a band that talked with so much sadness and exhaustion at the end of their first life come back with so much joy and life.

It is the breakdown it is screaming at yourself in the mirror because there's no one else to scream at it is the realization that you really are fucked in the head it is grieving the recently deceased and praying to a God you don't believe in to bring them back it is the ugly noises that leave your mouth as you sob it is the deepest feeling of anger turning into tears it I'd hating somebody you have put your life into loving it is realizing that the calm before the storm was the womb
