Joke's on them! Assuming we're talking about the King James version, it did indeed exist. It's a verb first appearing in Old English meaning "to sparkle" or more rarely "to wink." It's used today mostly in its frequentative form, twinkle.

A language is a creature which lives in your brain. It is a species that replicates by passing from human host to human host.
