"True peace is not merely the absence of tension, it is the presence of justice."
this actually is a gorgeous, powerful shot.
amazing picture
Very powerful image...

Principles of Design Poster by Efil Türk.
The turkey based designer named Efil has crafted a beautiful series of poster showing the principles of design only using paper. Cutting pieces of paper, juxtaposing the pieces, pasting geometrical shapes and using simple typography is the formula of this beautiful series. She mention that you can actually buy them.
Fantastic way of showcasing the principles of design. Very graphic and eye-catching.
Travel. "I know you probably don’t have the money. So work for it. Most countries offer a work-holiday visa for people under 30. It allows you to earn money legally for about a year. So serve cocktails on a beach in New Zealand. Teach people to ski in the Swiss Alps. There’s only one time in your life when you can be totally broke. And that’s right now. So take advantage of it somewhere incredible." - Lifestyle of the Unemployed
TRAVEL. Go 'serve cocktails on a beach in New Zealand'. Don't mind if I do.

A bookshelf make of pipes add extra character yet fit right in with exposed brick walls.
Re-purposing old pipes! What a beautiful idea.

Mint strikes a beautiful contrast next to a black chalkboard wall. This small space cleverly incorporates a fold down bar.
This is just fantastic. I love the chalkboard wall and the industrial stools. White subway tiles and raw wood accents make a great combination in this small bar space.

Living walls and natural elements bring the outdoors in. Glass railing disappears, keeping the focus on the decor.
Fantastic way to bring the outdoors into the home. The large railroad tie bench and rustic antler chandelier contrast nicely with the clean lines and modern materials. Keeping the palette neutral with pops of color creates a cohesive environment. When I see this photo, I want to reach in and feel all of those textures. What a fun space!

Just a funny.

Here’s an awesome way to work some geekery into your gardening. Malaysian LEGO builder Jin Kai created these LEGO flower pots featuring scenes from Return of the Jedi, The Fellowship of the Ring, and The Simpsons.
Jin Kai’s Star Wars flower pot and Lord of the Rings flower pot are both currently up for voting to be turned into real LEGO products on LEGO Ideas.
Visit Jin Kai’s Flickr page for additional photos of these three geektastic flower pots.

Love capturing the moments people rarely see.
Fantastic example of behind-the-scenes. I enjoy seeing photography like this.

Winter Palace (Hermitage), Saint-Petersburg, Russia
What amazing historical architecture! The intricacy is impressive in these examples. Makes me want to visit Russia...

Frank Lloyd Wright (American 1867-1959) The San Francisco Call Building Project, 1913 Preliminary Perspective
Incredible architecture! Even in the preliminary stages, FLW was a great visionary.

Nobility Blue sure looks good on you. We can’t get enough of our color of the week. The saturated tone adds sophistication to any room.
Great blend of design and texture in this room. And what a fantastic color! The vibrant and calming wall hue would add a dramatic effect to any space.

Victoria, B.C., residents Marco Khalil and Caroline West, who together own a business selling vintage goods, found a small school bus for sale on Craigslist. They turned the 1979 bus into a vacation home — a mobile cabin — that not only serves as a backyard cabin on their property, but can serve as a pop-up shop for their business.
Read more about it, and see additional photos taken by Caroline, over on Design*Sponge: A School Bus Turned Vacation Home | Design*Sponge
An upcycled, multipurpose space filled with vintage crates used as storage, maps used as window covering — what’s not to love about this?!
Incredible way to re-purpose and also to find a unique way to travel and explore! I always enjoy hearing of new ideas to combine creativity, travel and design :)
Happy travels!
