Creating characters is fun until they start making decisions without your permission. We’ve clearly learned absolutely fucking nothing from the Six hate considering the wave of “mono is an irredeemable asshole” sentiment in the fandom

They’re all young children trying to survive, and none of them are “heros” just survivors.

Six and mono show moments of both compassion and selfishness.

If mono didn’t care then he wouldn’t have gone through all these ridiculous ass lengths to save six, and if six didn’t care then she would have ditched mono way earlier and/or left him to die when he needed her help.

This fandom’s lack of nuance when it comes to the children isn’t unexpected but it’s very disappointing that we’re doing this whole song and dance again. Same shit, different ass.

Most of the kids in the games and extended media have done selfish things and tend to be morally grey. The nowhere isn’t a place that rewards kindness, and a lot of the kids who’ve been there for a while already know that because they’ve experienced and/or seen what happens to those who are kind. There’s an entire achievement in LN2 called “kindness will be your undoing”
