i love minecraft waiting behaviors. Writing on a sign and you can vaguely see your friend hopping around making spontaneous parkour out of the terrain while they wait for you to finish. writing a message in chat and having the person you’re talking to crouch right in front of you or stand as close to you as possible while they wait for you to finish. Finally finishing writing in a book only to see your friend has made several new furniture pieces and/or surrounded you in a cobblestone cube that may or may not have a sign on it. theres something so charming to it

I'll elaborate, with Skyblock you start with nothing, there is no world, only some grass blocks and a tree. And from there you can still experience everything Minecraft has to offer. Everything except exploration that is.

- You start with just about nothing, adding an extra layer of challenge without being overly stressful (unless you’re afraid of heights, which would probably make this a living virtual hell)

- Vanilla Minecraft is sprawling and beautiful by default, so a lot of times building is just embellishing the land. Skyblock starts off as a desolate wasteland with nothing but a tiny, pathetic island, meaning that it’s completely up to you to make something great. Completely stripping down the island to bedrock and starting it over is the way to go IMO.

- If you’re like me and have trouble deciding what to do in vanilla Minecraft, and/or start to burn out whenever your game becomes overly comfortable, Skyblock provides you with constant challenges and incentives to keep growing.

- Most importantly, if you play on servers like I do, it is filled with the most petty and bitter people imaginable, there is constant drama, and it’s extremely funny to watch.
