put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.
☀️ A short dialogue fic: Sumireko meets Miko (Again) ☀️

"Crowned Prince! Thou hast a guest!"
"If this is another human who wishes to become my disciple, tell them I'm not accepting any."
"Ah~ She is human, but not simply another human. Crowned Prince, the child from the outside world hath come to seeth thee! And she's bearing gifts!"
"The young magician who crossed the borders?"
"Donning the peculiar mantle, yes! Though this time she is without it."
"Hm. You seem...uncharacteristically welcoming of her — she who should be little more than a stranger to you."
"I could not bringeth mineself to be alarmedst by a mere child."
"Yes, yes. So tell me, what gift did she bring you?"
"C-crowned prince!"
After the two conclude their exchange, they make their way towards to the entrance where their guest is waiting. The Shoutoku Daoist wears a calm but detached smile.
"...Um-" But the young guest is quickly interrupted.
"I've heard that a child from the outside world has been periodically visiting Gensokyo as of late, though this time, without unsettling the borders."
"I..."
"Well, you have my forgiveness."
"Huh?!"
“You're seeking to make amends with those you disturbed in the incident 8 months prior. And with offerings to ease the aggrieved's ire."
"Whuh- How did you know?” The bewildered child takes a pause. “...Ohhh I see! Reimu told me about your powers. The ability to hear a person's core desires, just like in legends. It's not quite mind reading, but you can easily infer people's intentions using it."
"Oho~ So my reputation proceeds me. But no, that wasn't necessary this time." She lets out a bright laugh.
"What?! Then how...?"
"I have no need for trinkets. If you no longer pose a threat to this world, then we're done here."
The caped hermit promptly turns her back on the child as the doors leading out of the mausoleum opens behind her.
"It's the Daodejing!"
The child tears at the paper she painstakingly wrapped around the gift the day prior, revealing a sleek book beneath the now ravaged casing.
"You're a Daoist right?" She persists, "Surely you'd value THE Daoist text by the one and only Laozi. I even got the latest translation of it in Japanese. See? This one's got a ton of extra notes by historians! A-and it's the hardcover!!"
"...You're more adept at hospitality than I expected. Forgive my earlier curtness, would you like to stay for some tea?"
"Y-yeah, sure!"

I'm so sorry Sumireko, Miko is so Difficult.
Thinking of continuing of this after I read more canon Sumireko content. Though my intention isn't to portray the characters as accurate to the source as possible, I just like having more content to take inspiration from.
On another note, my future IC posts might look something like this but of varying lengths? Not sure yet...I like to keep things open. I just find that writing dialogue with very minimal narration is lighter on work for me as a beginner in storytelling. I'd love to get more experience with narration too but I want to get ideas out faster for now. Baby steps...
Also I hope it's obvious enough who is speaking (°ー°〃) Let me know if it gets confusing and I'll to fix it.

Judges have also ruled it’s illegal for them to be sent to blue cities in the first place. Alligator Alcatraz got shut down. They’re desperate to hire people for ICE because people keep quitting. Protests are happening every week, everywhere.
We are in a very scary and chaotic time. Project 2025 is terrifying. People are being emboldened to be violent, and people are being traumatized and harmed. The country has been divided and damaged, but not beyond repair and rebuild. We will get through this, we just can’t give up and comply in advance. Don’t let the bastards get you down.
