Some Funny Acotar fandom “coincidences”

Elriel Month is going smoothly and is a huge success then all of a sudden gets shadow banned and gwynriel week starts banning random creators.

Elain getting credit by the publisher in the acoten favorite moments bracket and all of a sudden (after many gwynriels publicly freaked out and fought w the publisher) random completely obvious burner accts appear and the vote was tampered with. Gwynriel creators then make a random list of random elriel burner accts with no proof whatsoever any of these accounts even tried to vote in the poll and no proof of who actually made these accounts and somehow turn it on elriels w no actual proof

Elain week is going smoothly with tons of beautiful art being shared and all of a sudden overnight someone makes a random acct and makes a fake message only to send to the acotar cover artists and share nowhere else. Gwynriels then try to blame random elriels and elriel creators for this as well. With no proof of who actually made or fabricated this message. ( odd though that supposedly it was a elriel trying to prove elriel is next yet they shared it nowhere? No elriels have even seen this fake message posted on any platform? This message was specifically created just to send to the artist, then right as the artist posts about it large gwynriel creators post about it and try to call shippers out but then delete their post, random gwynriels start accusing random elriel creators of this and messaging them…)

It is obvious who is behind all of this. & suddenly the same crowd who ~made a fake gwynriel book that the publisher publicly called out as a fake, who have been publicly called out for doxxing brycriels & elriels, who have been publicly called out for contacting other shipper jobs and colleges trying to get them in trouble, who have personally attacked and made fun of celebs who ship elriel, who have doxxed journalists who write elriel favored articles, who lied and harrased elriels for months saying they had confirmation from “sources close to SJM” that gwynriels book would be announced in May (which never happened)-has a lot to say but yet they never call out their own side. Never address the trolls on their side…

yet I have seen multiple elriel creators call out this weird behavior of someone making a fake message… all of this speaks volumes and this is why most people think gwynriels are insufferable now.

I think it’s time E/riels take a step back and realize that they have an actual problem.

The way they just saw a pink font in a post from the artist who makes the Acotar covers and immediately thought “E/riel confirmed!” speaks volumes. The way they ran with it to the point where the artist had to step in and post a disclaimer is actually embarrassing.

And it isn’t the first time it has happened either:

* The Elain’s Garden tote bag from the Waterstones event (they were so flooded with asks that they had to flat out say that it wasn’t official merch, just to get them to calm down).

* Sarah’s “blue and pink” rings and how it was a soft launch for Elain and Azriel’s book.

* Sarah’s Bambi sweater when she showed HOFAS’ cover and how it meant Elain was in the book and her book was next.

* The Bloomsbury bracket game fiasco.

* And now this tatoo artist had to come out and say what we who live in the real world already know: that they would never spoil something like that on Instagram because that would be a breach of trust and NDA agreements.

They’ll take any crumb (even if it’s unrelated to anything) and turn it into a sign for E/riel. And then they go and post it on Tumblr and TikTok, and act shocked when people laugh or call it out for the stretch it is. Then it’s “oh they’re so miserable, they can’t see us E/riels having a little fun” or “we’re just speculating”. No, babes, we’re just cringing from second-hand embarrassment. It’s like those people who see the face of the Virgin Mary in a burnt piece of toast. And also, Time Magazine and other publications have said thay they’re speculating, and you all treated it like a confirmation for your ship too.

You might want to start thinking about the possibility that all these clues you keep seeing everywhere might not actually be what you think they are, and they won’t take the story where you want it to go either. And stop spamming businesses dm’s amd creating fake screenshots when you think you see things that aren’t actually there.

That incident you point out doesn’t erase the fact that Elriels continuously keep embarrassing themselves. So yes I’m talking about it. Whataboutism doesn’t excuse this one.

Those posts from Yaz were an actual joke, mimicking what you guys always do. She said so before posting them. The goodreads “book” was a fanfic and people took it and ran with it.

And yes, all sides do it (we’re all clowning here), but when Elriels continuously involve other people’s businesses and jobs in their delusions, putting them at risk and spamming their comments and dm’s to the point they have to come out and say something about it, it needs to be called out. You guys even created so many burner accounts to rig the BB bracket game that they had to close the voting early and mess the game up for everyone?!? Yeah. Not the same.

Gwyn & Lightsingers Being Introduced in the same book….

So gwyn is introduced in the same book lightsingers are introduced (even though we have been to the middle in previous books and nothing was ever said about them) and she is described as having siren like powers and lightsingers are described pretty much like prythians version of sirens and you think this all means nothing? Then in azriels bonus chapter right before azriel sees Gwyn in the training ring Elain THE SEER gives him ear plugs randomly for Soltice... and you think there is no connection there? You think 2+2 does not equal 4 here?

Someone I know who has a friend in their group says that they're going to copy an Elriel art like what that gwynriel artist did to Katie so we could "taste our own medicine." This fandom is so exhausting. I am telling this because I know you're one of the commissioners.

But here’s the thing… who cares? If they want to spend the money to copy an Elriel piece, what’s new? Their entire ship is a copy of Elriel.

And the reason they hate Elriel art so much, why they go out of their way to try and bully people into taking down Elriel art, is because Elriel art often has canon to back it up. That artwork of Azriel embracing Elain in a tree was so triggering because Elriel have actually embraced, not because it was a similar pose. They don’t actually care about similar poses and all you need to do is look at their IG page to see that’s true.

Elriel is the root of all their crash outs. They cannot handle canon.

Funny thing is.. they have done this already multiple times. Off the top of my head I can think of one specific commissioner who has blatantly copied Elriel pieces three times. She copied @tswaney17 solstice piece, she contacted an Elriel artist and commissioned her to do gw/nriel in the exact pose and concept she did elriel in, and she copied the idea@leiaamidala used from TLM for a mermay piece. Not to mention they have also copied or were very clearly very inspired by pieces from Elain week and used them and just subbed in Gw/n. Like @cassianfanclub said it’s nothing new!!

exactly. They are really just trying to copy the entire ship bc there is nothing romantic between gwyn and azriel. It is not a ship that exists within the books. It is a ship made up of head cannons and fanart bc they hate elain. What really makes them mad is they have no canon scenes for gwynriel to even have good fanart. They turn gwyn into a mix of bryce/elain and steal other ship concept and aesthetics. no one thinks gwynriel is a serious ship outside of the online fandom. Look at the articles that literally never mention them. I mean The Cut which is a reputable magazine literally saw Brycriel and Tamlain as a more possible ship than Gwynriel. “ ooohhh we’re going to copy elriel art to really show them!” Girly pops it’s all you do as is!

so an Elucien comissioner who is known In the fandom for doxxing, bullying and harrasing other shippers, making fun of other ship fanart, sending screenshots of private conversations to her gwynriel friends and their group chat making fun of other shippers, sharing those private chat ss to her friends so they can make public posts making fun of others…is finally getting called out and now she’s the victim? And where was her friend w the huge following calling out any of this behavior when her friends were doing the exact same thing to other shippers?

These creators w huge followings loooveee to step on a soap box and post they are against bullying harassment when it comes to gwynriel shippers being harrassed but then they support their friends who have been publicaly called out (with proof) when they doxed Brycriel shippers. I truly cannot believe its mid June 2025 and we still have NOTHING about the next acotar book. It’s been 4.5 years since the last acotar book came out, the last true writing update we had about the next book was in September 2023. Almost 2 years ago. Then In December SJM said the books is a long book and she would hopefully say something soon so we know she’s done writing it that was 7 months ago and still nothing.

yes Bloomsbury sucks but that doesn’t absolve SJM of being completely silent about everything either.

as much as I love this series her complete disregard for her readers is really disappointing. She really comes across as she’s gotten so big now she doesn’t care to give her readers anything and we just have to deal with it.

It's funny... this has been happening to them "for months" yet you never addressed it till now? You went around blocking tons of accounts only in the last couple of days?

Listen we all know who got elriel month shadow banned. You guys go after artists all the time, you publicly make fun of elriel & bryce azriel art. You’ve doxxed elriel and Bryce azriel shippers….You reported a bunch of elriel fanart for no reason to get elriel month shadow banned and then you went on a massive blocking spree so it doesn't happen to you.

And you guys got called out publicly and now are trying to cover yourselves and play the victim. This is what you guys do though. You bully, personally attack and harass other shippers and then gaslight yourselves into thinking your the victim.

your facade is up. And no amount of backtracking is going to change it. I’m so thankful the gwynriels are being so called out and everyone is seeing how they really are.
