Holy guacamole and cheddy cheese!
āI mean, thatās not really that impresāJESUS FUCKING CHRIST.ā
I was at Hot Topic and saw this cool tshirt for some band or something called Bring Me the Horizon and idk what bring me the horizon is and donāt really care but the shirt is cute so iāll wear it
This was an experiment. See how people started getting mad at me for ābuyingā a Bring Me The Horizon shirt, when I said I really knew nothing about them? How I said I bought it simply because I thought it was cute? CompletelyĀ disregardingĀ who the band was?
This is how people from other cultures feel when you purchase and wear garb from their culture with no knowledge of what that garb symbolizes and means. If you wear or use something for the wrong reasons, people get mad.Ā
This has got to be by far one of the best ways to explain cultural appropriation to people.
If only.
Help with learning to love yourself
1. Learn to let go of what happened in the past. You deserve a new start and a fresh beginning. Weāve all messed up and experienced bad things. So donāt allow these memories to rob you of your future. Youāre not just a product and a victim of your past. Acknowledge and work through any negative emotions ā then put them behind you and start to live again.
2. Work on forgiving yourself. Related to point 2, donāt punish yourself for your past failings or regrets. Instead, see them as a lesson, and a chance to learn and grow. Donāt ridicule, demean or devalue yourself. That was then ā this is now ⦠You are different - so move on.
3. Keep a journal where you write down all your thoughts and feelings. When youāre feeling positive, try to savour those emotions and a build a memory trace of all thatās good and positive. When youāre feeling negative try to show some self-compassion, and seek to be gentle and kind to yourself. You need to work on validating and affirming yourself ā not being your own enemy and tearing yourself down.
4. Be persistent as you work on accepting yourself. A key part of love is unconditional acceptance. So work on loving who you are right now. Only then will you be able to change some parts of yourself ā because youāre able to accept who you are at the core.
5. Trust yourself. You donāt have to please others, or to follow their dictates. Learn to trust your intuition and your own personal judgments.
6. Practice saying ānoā. Itās okay to say ānoā without feeling guilty. You have the right to decide what youāll do with your life.
7. Practice receiving and accepting love from others. Know youāre worthy of love ā and other people really mean it when they say that you matter, and they love and care for you.

Lmao bye!!! šššš
Thereās probably more but these are the ones I can think of at the moment! Please be considerate and donāt play pranks at other peopleās expenses!
Have fun everyone!
WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND
So for all you feminists out their who think that all men should die, remember, you are not a feminist.
reblogging for the last comment
Legit question, Iām not trying to hate on feminists or anything. Why is it called feminist if theyāre for equality?
castiel-knight-of-hell:
Thatās a very good question and thank you for asking so politely.Ā
The word feminism was coined by Charles Fourier in 1837, a French philosopher who advocated for the emancipation of women because he believed society treated women as slaves. We werenāt allowed to vote, own anything, or work a real job. Women were ruled by their fathers/household patriarch until they married at which time theyād be under the rule of their husband. If a woman did not belong to male household she was shunned by society and had very little means to make money, most of them unsavory. You know the idiomĀ ārule of thumbā? That comes from a running joke that started in the 1600s, and was still around in Fourierās time, that said it was okay for a man to beat a woman with a stick as long as it wasnāt any thicker than his thumb.Ā
The point of the word feminist, and the feminist movement, has never been to say that women are better than men. The point is that women and things associated with women have been given a lesser place in society and we want to bring those things up to a place of equality. The focus is on the feminine because thatās whatās being pushed down. However, focusing on the feminine does not mean weāre focusing only women. Men are belittled and calledĀ āless of a manā anytime they portray a trait that is associated with femininity. If women and the feminine were equal to men and masculinity then that wouldnāt happen. Feminism is about raising up things associated with females to have an equal place in society as the things associated with males. Itās called feminism, not equalism, because the focus is on raising up not tearing down. Equalism would suggest that male things need to come down to a lower level so that female things can meet it in the middle. Thatās not the point. The point is to raise up the feminine so that itās on the same playing field that the masculine is already on. We donāt want men to lower themselves, we just want them to make room for us.
This needs to be spread far and wide to everyone on tumblr.Ā
