If you’re not trans can you ask yourself seriously if you actually care about us or if you’re just trying to defend your reputation or quell a guilt inside of yourself? Can you read and reblog this without feeling attacked?
((I’m taking a break from work, i’m sorry guys i’ll try to be back, but I wanted to answer that post quickly - it was important for me.))
SO.
Yeah, not feeling guilty ? Is it even possible not to feel guilty when you finally break from heteronormative/intolerant society ?
I don’t know - and I don’t think so. So, YEAH I’m feeling guilty and that’s certainly WHY I’m so vocal about supporting trans and non binary people, especially from minority&people of color (I’m french cis & white so yeah minority too)
It’s okay to feel guilty about that - it’s healthy as long as you take it for bettering yourself. And yeah, i’m quelling somewhat a guilt by doing better, but you know what ?
Most of all I want every fucking human being to feel safe and loved. I want all of the people out there to be happy and to find themselves without bullying other people. I want equality for everyone regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation - and what makes ME want to do that is the guilt I feel for being for years an oppressor, knowingly or not.
Feeling guilty is not a problem - not using it to do better is.
