Alright, seriously, followers. Please block “fucking-deactivated” and do not go onto their blog. Basically 90% of their posts are aphobic, and just from glancing at a page, about 7 out of 10 posts are suicide-baity, or could even be construed as threats. 

They also screenshotted my blog and circumnavigated my blocking them.

A lot of aspec people are reluctant to talk about their feelings towards aphobes, and their experiences with aphobia, usually for fear of being hunted down by aphobes online. 

I’m here to fix that. 

Instead of posting your thoughts, feelings, and experiences on your own blog, you can send them to me in the form of a letter to people (whether that means an individual or aphobes in general).

Please, please keep your submissions anonymous. I cannot stress this enough. Send me your letters to aphobes in the form of anon asks; I’ll publish (most of) them without commentary, and if I do say something, it’ll probably be in the tags. 

I won’t respond to any discourse in the notes of these posts myself, and I’d advise you all to stay out of it.

This mess of a post. Tries to redefine asexuality for their own argument (wtf), says they’re “suppressing same gender attraction” (basically insisting they’re closeted LGBP+ people), completely ignores younger kids knowledge of their identity, completely ignores hypersexual and sex positive aces, addresses identifying as ace as something that needs to not happen and be fixed (again, WTF), ignores older aces who found out they were ace later in life, infantilizes acespec orientations, and yeah this is just a mess. 

TL,DR: they don’t think ace/aro are valid orientations, have agreed with truscum politics, have used anti-sjw “special snowflake” politics, laughed at what was basically book burning (and actions against Wiki’s policy), and completely tried to redefine asexuality despite not being ace themselves. (Yes, they were ace at one point. No, that does not make them an authority or give them any power to define asexuality.) General aphobe. 

Highly recommend a block for them. Feel free to add more.

Block list 6

How did we get our list? This list was primarily complied of aphobic behavior directly witnessed by us. Are we going to remember every single instance of aphobic behavior assigned to a jumble of letters and numbers? No, we just trust ourselves to know that they landed on it through their determination.

We don’t make notes of every single aphobe because that’s not conducive to our goal - a low spoon way of protecting your safe space. (Think, you can’t just copy paste when there’s all these little notes in the way). NEW: We split the list into two facets. Harassers and Casual Aphobia.

Harassers actively seek to make spaces unsafe for a-spec people.

Causal Aphobia is something that is aphobic even though that may not have been the goal. This keeps people safe from stumbling onto hate and getting a left hook.

Blocking aphobia/aphobes means they cannot send you anon hate, cannot respond to any of your posts, you can’t see them in searches/tags, or have you accidentally reblog an aphobe by mistake.

List of Terms Aces Have Stolen

Aphobia - I consider aphobia/acephobia to be a stolen term, because the -phobia suffix is used under the pretence that the ace community experiences systematic oppression which they do not. I would say that this suffix being appropriated and misused is grounds for it being theft.

Aphobic - Same as above.

Allosexual - The prefix of allosexual was taken from the autistic community. The creator of this term has since regretted coining it.

Gatekeeping - This term, in relation to the LGBT community, was coined by trans women to discuss the refusal of proper medical treatment for them by doctors. 

Corrective Rape - This term was coined by lesbians in South Africa to talk about the sanctioned rape of wlw. (more info) The UN has since suggested that it be called Homophobic Rape, as that is what it is. (Just a side note, many ace discoursers have simply asked that the ace community come up with their own term for their sexual assault – not that it doesn’t happen.)

ALA - This acronym for “Ace loving ace” is directly stolen from the AAVE term, wlw.

Artemisian - This is a term that was stolen from sapphic. It’s problematic especially due to the fact that Artemis is a goddess that many people still worship today. 

“Coming Out” / “In the closet” - Again, aces are not systematically put into danger for being ace. Nothing is forcing them into a closet, and they won’t lose/be at risk to lose rights by being open about their sexuality.

Queer - This is a slur directed solely at SGA/trans individuals. Aces cannot and should not be reclaiming on the grounds of being ace. 

Compulsory Sexuality - This term is appropriated from compulsory heterosexuality, a lesbian term coined by Adrienne Rich.

The ActuallyAsexual tag - The series of “Actually_____” tags were started by disabled and/or mentally ill individuals to share and discuss their experiences. 

The “A” - I just had to include the theft that started it all. The A stands for allies.

This doesn’t even include the various antisemitic images/icons that ace tumblr has been seen promoting and using. Please feel free to continue adding!! I’m positive there’s more terminology that I’ve missed here.

Assessment: This list of receipts was so long that I got up, took a cocoa break, and finished a homework assignment before I was halfway through. Seeing as there are so many code violet level receipts, I caution every lesbian ace out there NOT to follow this blog. (The mods even state that if you identify as an ace lesbian, you’re sexualizing other lesbians. By existing.)

After reading through this painstakingly long list of Bad Content, I’m really starting to question my faith in humanity. And their campaigning against the SAM is way more terrifying than anything I’ve ever seen on tumblr. It physically pained me to read their posts, which reeked with gaslighting and other coercive abuse tactics (I would know).

I didn’t even stay on that blog long enough to check if the mods were minors. I never want to see that username pop up in the corner of my screen, and if I do, I’ll seriously consider unfollowing whoever put it on my dash. (Depending on the content of the post.) 

Do not harass, send threats, or anon hate. Block them and move on.
