TIL the way i make coffee is pretentious

i mean all i do is heat water to 202F, grind beans with a conical burr grinder, add 15g of grinds to my aeropress, pre-wet the grounds with 50g of water using my hario v60, lightly stir, add water to reach 255g total, screw on the strainer cap with an unwet filter, let it steep for 2m30s, and slowly plunge it into a cup pre-heated using excess water its not that complicated yall yes i am autistic why do you ask?

i meant the hario v60 buono kettle and not the v60 pourover haha. it is entirely unnecessary for the aeropress but i like using it anyways cause the gooseneck makes getting an exact volume of water a little easier and i like how it feels in my hand.

i mostly use it for pour overs but tbh i’ve never really been good at doing a good pour over and it’s just easier for me to consistently make a good aero press than it is to do a proper pour over. sometimes i just enjoy the process of doing a pour and so i’ll make one from time to time. there’s just something really relaxing about being intentional and taking my time with making my coffee and i’m pretty picky with how coffee tastes so i make it a part of my day whenever i can.

I dump as much grounds in the basket as looks like it can fit without overflowing and if it does get grounds in the coffee you just pour carefully. For extra strong coffee I put that batch in the reservoir to brew more grounds with, maybe even add a few spoons of instant coffee to the result.
