These verses highlight the laws of God, which function not solely as a checklist, but as a mirror that man ought to gaze upon themselves with, to see their stains and know that they need to be washed, for they will be judged for their dirt.

(Clarification just in case, “thou shalt not ‘kill’ is a kjv exclusive, the original Hebrew word basically extended to unlawful killing.)

Jesus clarified the extent of the standard of these commandments, to not just the action, but the heart, and all of us would be fools to say we have never once envied, or despised someone in our hearts.

And there is only one escape from the judgement of our evil, and punishment for offending an infinite and holy God

Through Christ, God offers an infinite sacrifice (as in, an infinite being sacrificed on our behalf) as atonement for our sin, a continuous mercy that he alone facilitates to purge us for our sins, so that those who repent will be given the right to be called his children (John 1:12)

And thus, joint heirs with him.

Those who repent will additionally receive the Holy Spirit, and will be slowly and surely sanctified, whereas their salvation is secure, they will participate in a slow but sure transformation, day by day being more conformed to the image of Christ, until the day of the resurrection, when they will have new bodies, and a final separation from the sin that has corrupted them and the world they dwell in.

I care not about being called anything, but I call all of you for the sake of my master, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Repent, for God has said in his holy word that he would rather you repent then receive the suffering that is due for you, therefore repent!

A reminder concerning Hell

This is not for the purpose of condemning anyone, it’s a warning.

When I speak of hell in this post, I speak a tempest that’s coming, one of righteous judgement that all who do not turn from their sins are forced to face one day.

Hell exists as condemnation and punishment for an infinite amount of time, for offending an infinite and Holy God, in order to place a perspective on why exactly even the slightest punishment in Hell is insufferable, I’d like you who are reading to stand outside and hold a pillow, while standing still.

Sure, it’s easy at first, but keep doing it with your hands outstretched, it will eventually get intolerable.

Jesus is recorded speaking about hell more than any other person in the bible, — Mark 9:43, 48, Luke 16:22–24, Matthew 10:28. — and this is because he loved his followers, and wanted to warn them to take this stuff seriously, less they too do not realize the gravity of their sins, and thus do not repent.

To determine whether or not your going to hell if you don’t have the mercy of Christ, one need only examine their hearts and actions honestly by the Ten Commandments, I personally have broken all of them, those I have not broken in action I’ve broken in mind. — Matthew 5:28, Matthew 5:21-22. — and thus, were it not for the mercy of God, I too would be condemned to the fire.

In order to understand the beauty of the full gospel, one must understand what is at stake.

One thing I hear saying sometimes is that hell is a metaphor for something else that awaits, and whether or not that’s true, it’s a mistake to breath a sigh of relief at that, for if the only words that could be used are ones that evoke fire, burning, weeping, and gnashing of teeth, that means something worse than that waits for the unredeemed.

For this reason I want to preach the gospel that the savior of me and my brethren were taught,

That Christ as an infinite and holy sacrifice in human form, atoned for us by dying in a spiritually, physically, and mentally excruciating way, which the bible describes as him becoming sin so that we may be saved from our sins.

2 Corinthians 5:21

And when he has taken your sin upon his shoulders, you instead bear his light burden, one of his righteousness. Galatians 3:27

And therefore for the redeemed, when the father looks upon us, he sees his sons.

I urge each of you repent! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand, pray to God for he grants mercy to those who seek it.

Reminder, God grants mercy to all who repent, he himself has said that he’d rather the wicked turn and be saved then come under condemnation.

Ezekiel 33:11:

“ Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’”

The Lord has made a way out of damnation, and it is in Christ:

John 10:9-16

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

2 Corinthians 5:21

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Christ has paid for the sins of all who would turn to him, do so and you will receive him, do so and you will be looked upon as righteous in the eyes of God, not by your own deeds, but by his, for your righteousness is but dirty rags in comparison to his pristine white robes, robes which he offers freely.

If you are still running from Christ today, or still angry with him, or still rebelling against him, I can only implore you, turn to him, For he freely offers repentance.

K, I finished reading project hail mary on audible, thought it was beautiful.

I’m not much more knowledgeable on biology or tech then a low-grade sci-fi writer who graduated from the McDonald’s parking lot, but I found the science and explanations behind each creature to be pretty believable, even the concept of astrophage didn’t seem completely impossible.

I loved the masterful application and ease of tension, and how you genuinely feel near the end like grace will die, as well as in many other instances.

The bond between rocky and grace felt human, human in a way that feels hard to describe,

Every bit of learning each others language, bonding, and arguing, feels earned, like your watching an irl friendship grow.

I also feel like this is one of the instances in medias res, (beginning a story in the middle of its timeline) genuinely works, and I loved the plot twist of grace being a coward though and through, again it feels like he’s just a genuine flawed human being, that I wouldn’t bat an eye if i saw irl.

I especially liked the ending, its combination of optimism and ambiguity, and how it wraps a neat little bow around everything.

Overall 9/10, only taking one point off since I’ve only recently finished the book, and am still fresh off the hype.

a model for an alien species im developing, similar to an octopus, the model isnt done yet, as i intend to add cybernetic legs and stuff that the tentacles control, concealed under clothes.

basically these boys are cellularly immortal space-fairing galactic conquerers, that solve biological problems with cybernetics, and operate off a time-frame far beyond humans (in a long term time frame at least)

one note ill add is that they are galactic conquerers because of how social they are with eachother, considering even adding them having a collective self-deifying pantheism type religion for them.

last note ill add is that communication between species members is via coloration, similar to that of the diablo rojo squid, but a heck of a lot more complex

Reminder for those who may need it, the Lord does not grant mercy reluctantly, on the contrary, he desires granting mercy to those who repent to a point where he’s allowed his son to go through crucifixion just so your sins would be atoned for without you having to face the just penalty for your actions.
