Almost like maths is something you have an inherent understanding of in many ways but in order to advance in it and truly understand it you have to learn it in an academic setting? Almost like many magic systems?

i made a firefox extension that hides translations in babbel! always seeing the translated text makes it hard for me to exercise my brain to figure out what things mean on my own. now i can hide translations when i don't want to see them!

the extension adds a button to the top toolbar in lessons that shows or hides translations. you can also press ctrl+` (that's a backtick) on your keyboard so that you don't have to switch to your mouse.

this addon should also work on firefox for android, but i haven't tested it myself.
