High self-worth is essential as water, sleep, and oxygen. You must believe you deserve space. You must believe you are worth “it”. And then take that a little higher, and add your wildest dreams to this ecosystem. Our thoughts nourish our mind. When we think happy/exciting thoughts, our mind actively searches for these things in our surroundings to reaffirm and validate them. Even if we don’t yet have it, when we think about a big dream or goal, our mind starts pinpointing the opportunities that lead us to achieving these desires. Whenever you feel lost in life, go back to the drawing board of your self-esteem. Build yourself up again, as many times as you need to, even when it feels like you are starting over. Self-love, vibrations and energy is an important priority like sleep, water, and nutrition. Channel your highest self-regard before bed. Just a little reminder: when you’re struggling with a difficult situation, the best thing you can do is INSIST on championing yourself. Do not compromise. Do not falter. You are special.

Things I have learned since becoming an Adult™
-don’t tell ur coworkers jack shit. You might think they’re your friends but they will sell you out for a paperclip -everything men tell you is a lie -store brand vanilla ice cream is better than name brand -pregnancy tests from the dollar store work just as well as $20 ones -don’t lie to your doctor -seriously don’t -at some point your card will get declined for $6 and nobody but you will care. It happens to everyone at some point in their life -you will become bffs with your mom (unless she’s a mean person, then skip this one) -you’ll wish you took the advice adults gave you when you were younger, even though it annoyed you at the time -people you went to high school with will become teachers, doctors, etc but they will still do drugs and it will be weird. That’s life, my dude -never underestimate the power of new underwear
The second last one though
-you never have to be as qualified as a job posting makes it sound like you need to be. Just put on some slacks and a button up and look the interviewer in the eye and smile and you’re already steps ahead
-if you don’t have a house, you might have to fight your property manager (figuratively) to get any maintenance done ever. as much as possible, do things through email and keep a record. take pictures when you move in. don’t ever pay for damages that you didn’t cause. if you do own a house, all that maintenance is on you, good luck
-at some point, it’s no longer cool to get drunk on the regular
-technology will come out that will be explained to you by someone younger
-sometimes it’s okay to go to bed at 8 pm
-no one else knows what they’re doing either

if you ever call me angel, i hope you reffer to biblically accurate angels, described in the Book of Daniel as spirit beings with face like a lightning bolt, eyes like flaming torches of fire, arms and legs that gleam like polished chrome, and voice like that of thunder.
