"Eh… Alcohol is cheap." The ginger concluded, deciding t leave that part of their conversation for now. He didn’t need to explain his antics, death would give him more long term relief when it eventually came.
"Which is why hope should be hung onto wi’ everything ye’ have… it’s so delicate…so frail… tha’s why ye’ ‘ave t’ protect it…t’ always believe in i’ even when it’s dark… c’ause when it gets enough strength, it’ll give ye’ wha’ ye need…" He was rather poetic when he was tipsy.
The breathed words made the male partially turn around; chest torn up recently by what could have been perceived as an almost blunt blade; like a butter knife; there were dark, half-healed marks strewn in various directions; some crossing, but he didn’t seem bothered.

She closed the distance between them quickly, a small hand reaching out to take hold of one of his. To be honest, she wanted to trace one of the wounds.
She tugged on his arm. "If..you want me to pick that glass out, sit yer carcass down now." The brunette was getting scared, angry even; whenever she got like this, she was demanding, rude, even. "Don't they hurt you? And don't tell me alcohol numbs it; it possibly can't. Don't lie to me, brother. Please."
