I think Katniss and Peeta are really goofy inside the comfort of their home. Just like a cat, Katniss rubs her head against Peeta's arm when she wants something. Peeta makes random noises when he's bored or wants Katniss' attention.

Thinking about Peeta all alone in his new house in the Victors' Village and crying.

Yes he was able to escape his abusive mother, but he had no support whatsoever after having gone through the most traumatic moments of his life. He even had to readjust to having lost a leg all by himself.

His biggest joy was probably baking stuff for Katniss, her family and Haymitch.

My dad is lots of things. Good and bad, but he works harder than anyone I have ever met.

This man cleared two acres by hand. Designed our house and drew his own blueprints (an engineer by trade). Built our entire house piece by piece. Wired the electrical with my uncle on the weekend. Painted the whole house at night after work with a case of off brand expired energy drinks that my grandfather took from work.

He made sure we had what he didn’t. As much I could say he should have done differently, I know he tried.
