So, fun fact about the music that plays in the forgotten man's last room, it's made by Trevor Alan Gomes, who plays the DELTARUNE Piano Collections. (Which makes sense, Toby said there were other hands in chapter 5 ost) The file name itself is "deltarune_piano_collections_by_trevor_alan_gomes" but I went through his channel and can't find anything similar to what plays in the forgotten room. (The track has no metadata either) Personally I couldn't completely put my finger on what motifs it had but I kinda think that was the point, I keep half hearing things that never fully make a complete notation. Like they were forgotten mid page. Very, very Interesting. Let me know if anyone is hearing anything I'm not or finding anything I'm not.

I need to be mean for a second but remembering the aftermath of chapter 4's ending and how everyone called Toriel a bitch and an awful mother and how they could never see her the same again because of their Trauma but then chapter 5 having Asgore being an angry, obsessive father who (albeit unknowingly) said he was gonna kill his child and parade their body amongst town has everyone silent gee I wonder why that is

I'm glad I'm giving you motivation at least. Dynamics is absolutely killing me rn and I'm getting roasted to hell and back by a peer review for a paper. It can only get better from here I suppose.

(Honestly I can imagine something like that as a (for the character) awful example of how growing up in a kind of cult situation messed Simon up. Like if/when he found the act of itself wouldn't phase him much. He knows there's a stigma to it and he might think less of Bim, but I don't think it would disturb him.)

Love, love, love characterising Bim as an absolute prick. I think it really drives the "doesn't care about social conventions" further to a point of showing that yeah. He just has a general lack of care for human life in general.

Once again he knows it's horrific, but as you say, I think that's why he plays into it.

That being said, I think him trying to piss someone off happens at least semi-frequently.

Hehehe Thank u! The only person Bim seemingly ever canonically cared for was Matthias, conveniently also the person Mark hinted that Google killed. With him dead and Wilford (his superior) also being a killer of his own Bim has no reason to even try to care. His actions don't really have consequences anyway. Except... for what happened with Oliver that is.

Dark (and Google in his absence) have probably had to diffuse many 'disagreements' because of Bim's antics. But hey, what can he do? That's who Wilford chose as his right hand.

I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THIS. Okay, first of all YES. I really like the idea of his cannibalism as an extension of his show persona. The figurative "show biz chewing people up and spitting them out" becoming uncomfortably literal. I feel like he's an opportunistic cannibal too, I don't think he would hunt people outside of the timeslot of his show. Any meals made after hours however would be fair game. Because he's very aware of what makes a good show and what people react to, Bim logically knows what he's doing is horrific to people and actively plays into it to get responses, like I can't see him showing up to the Egos Inc. barbecue with a platter unless he is actively trying to piss someone off. I'd love to know what you think though!
