There is no unskilled labor, only undervalued skills.
Right-wing media have spent years advocating for laws to suppress voting rights. Black women shut them all down last night.
the real four dnd archetypes
1) beautifully constructed, thoughtfully named, youâve had this character for five years, and it is only now that you have a medium to express them through. twenty pages of backstory and lore, you probably lovingly crafted a costume or a token to fully bring them to life.
2) itâs you, but youâre now a warlock or a paladin or some shit.
3) Its Joke (ex. Boo Boo the Chaotic Good Barbarian, Dio Brando but as a dryad, etc.)
4) Real Ass People (ex. Hatsune Miku, Barack Obama, Hulk Hogan, etc.)

Can we get a name???
This is Chinese artist, Luo Li Rong
Hereâs a snippet about her from this article (that also features more photographs of her work, including this sculpture):
Rong has pursued sculpting since an early age. She studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, then under the tutelage of sculptor Wang Du, and later she âimmersed herselfâ in figurative sculpture techniques used by European artists in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Their sense of femininity plays a defining role in Rongâs contemporary works, and the stylistic guidelines help carry on the tradition of realistic sculptures in art.
So, if youâre like me and work in a place with public bathrooms, you most likely have seen this shit before. Some racist fuck graffitiâd up your bathroom with nazi bullshit with a permanent marker.
Tired of this bullshit? Me too, so Iâm gonna show you how to get rid of it nice and quick!Â
The tools you need: A cleaner appropriate for the surface, the appropriate tool to to wipe said surfaces, and the crucial piece: A dry erase marker.
Itâs embarrassingly easy to get rid of and is gonna make those nazi fucks upset that we donât tolerate their bullshit.Â
Just grab your markerâŚ
âŚand draw over it
then you spray it with your cleaner and then⌠wipe
ta-fucking-da
now you too can use your new-found hack to get rid of sharpie graffiti
remember kids: fuck fascists, fuck nazis and racists, and fuck white supremacyÂ
So the University of Virginia is overrun with a bunch of Nazi and White Supremacists rn.
HOSPITALS. ARE. ALREADY. REQUIRED. UNDER. LAW. TO. PROVIDE. LIFE. SAVING. EMERGENCY. CARE. REGARDLESS. OF. ABILITY. TO. PAY. OR. EVEN. CITIZENSHIP.
Stop acting like Americans have no access to emergency healthcare unless we socialize medicine.
IF. YOU. GO. AND. CANâT. PAY. YOUâRE. STILL. THOUSANDS. IN. DEBT. THIS. IS. NOT. ACCESS.
This hospital in my city just threw out a homeless man
The hospital which took me in after I collapsed from the fist sized tumor over my heart, released me after refusing to diagnose it as cancer, which would have forced them to give me some kind of treatment. The doctor at the county hospital which took me in looked at their tests and said, âthis is CLEARLY cancer, why didnât they diagnose it? We canât let you leave.â
Hospitals find ways when they want to, to avoid helping people when they want to.
âOh thatâs illegal, you should sueâ â with what money and how will I get the time and energy when Iâm busy recovering from chemo?â
People who canât afford treatment also canât afford to protect their rights.
Absolutely this: âPeople who canât afford treatment also canât afford to protect their rights.â
âPeople who canât afford treatment also canât afford to protect their rights.â
let it sink in âPeople who canât afford treatment also canât afford to protect their rights.â
Also the original post is based on a straw man no one was saying that in America you canât access an emergency room. The problem is an emergency room is not health care.
Not like this, ShoutoâŚ
Because this post was just too good!

âFor todayâs young heroes, the real threat is neither adults nor fellow kids but an incomprehensible world hellbent on punishing them with a harshness disproportionate to their crimes, or for crimes they didnât even commit, or sometimes for no reason at all. Itâs a punishment that canât be delayed, contested, or fought against, only endured.â

I love this so much okay???
You may have seen these fliers going around on social media and just to be safe Iâm warning you all that this is false. It was posted maliciously on reddit and spread around to get undocumented immigrants to disclose their documentation status. Likely thinking that some would get reported on or whatever intentions that were had here. Itâs spread so much that Starbucks even sent out memos to all their stores about this rumor. Spread the information that it is FALSE.
Just an update but they people who started this went to Twitter to impersonate Latinx people to spread the information, posted it in Spanish as well, and some pretended to be managers at certain Starbucks locations stating that they will still be honoring the âpromotion.â So if you see a â Starbucks managerâ saying something like this over Twitter then they are most definitely fake and trying to lure people to that particular location.
The intention (which originated on 4chan, not Reddit like I initially said) was to hurt a liberal business.
âHow about we meme âUndocumented Immigrant Dayâ at Starbucks into existence? Announce free coffee for all illegals on a certain date. August 11? 11 looks like II (for Illegal Immigrant). Iâm open to suggestions there. Name a liberal place for all illegals to go at once and demand free stuff.â
Quickly other people on the /pol/ board saw this as an opportunity to call I.C.E. and they are clearly still trying to get people to go to certain locations with that intention. Thereâs a reason why certain people on 4chan are trying to lure undocumented immigrants to particular locations so be wary & spread this info!

God @ northern liberals w that âsoutherners deserve natural disasters for voting for trumpâ as if there arenât a ton of poor people and people of color and other vulnerable people.. y'all think itâs the rich republicans that will die if a hurricane hits Florida??? Naw so shut the fuck up
Listen this is why gerrymandering is such a massive, massive problem down here in the south.
Texas has been slowly becoming a Latinx majority state for decades. You wouldnât know it by the way Texas votes because gerrymandering exists. Rich southern conservatives always win the votes because of this. (Lack of decent education doesnât help.)
Worst of all, they try to teach us in school that the federal government bullies the state by making the state submit its redistricting plans for approval before redistricting can take place.
In reality, itâs because the gerrymandering would get even worse if the state was allowed to do as it pleased.
Gerrymandering and voter suppression are why the south looks the way it does in elections. The south is poor and more diverse than a significant part of the rest of the country, and all of the marginalized people get thrown under the bus by the whole country and by both parties.
So yeah when you wish bad things on the south, youâre being pretty indescribably shitty because let me tell you, the south already has âbad thingsâ happen in significant amounts.
Thereâs so many people in the notes that are like âyes! So go vote!â Itâs like talking to a fucking wall.
I really wish people really considered what voter suppression actually MEANS. Itâs not âvoters are discouraged a lilâ. There are laws and regulations designed to disenfranchise people of color, especially black people, and prevent us from voting at all, and failing that, water down the power of that vote as much as possible.
Changes are also enacted that make it more difficult to voteâDMVs business hours changing, fewer places available to vote with increasing distances between them (but more affluent and whiter areas having less distance to travel, morepolling places and therefore shorter wait timesâŚ) offices in predominately pooorer and blacker towns being reduced obtaining a photo ID requiring you to jump through more hoops, itâs a lot.
And thatâs just he obvious direct point a to point b shit. Thatâs not talking about felon voter rights being taken away, while people of color (again, especially black people) are charged for crimes that white defendants walk for, with less evidence and harsher sentencing, including what may be considered a misdemeanor for a white person being charged a felony.
And cops have come forward and admitted theyâve been told not to prosecute drug crimes in white neighborhoods, so itâs foolish to pretend that mandatory minimum sentencing and zero tolerance policies are meant to be anything but another tool to disenfranchise us. This is an especially notable problem in Florida, which plays into why that map looks like that, too.
You cannot tie a peopleâs hands behind their back, gag them, tie them to a chair, and then tell them that all they gotta do is stand up, and wonder why youâre having no issue doing so while theyâre struggling.
You know what changes the Democratic Party could implement if they truly wanted to increase voter rights in these areas? Find and provide free child care while voting is taking placeâand feed those children too. Organize and fund car pools to voting areas.
Months before the deadline, have PAID workers from these communities show up in person to recruit voters and discuss any possible difficulty getting to the polls, explain how absentee ballets work and how to access them.
Itâs not cheap, but when the dems are happy to fundraiser shocking amounts of money to pay for an already insured building, it ainât impossible.
Instead of smugly âgoing highâ when they go low, help those of us being hurt by them going low. Instead of fucking funding their voter suppression lol.
Like, voting is not going to save us. Itâs just not. At best, it must be seen as a form of harm reduction. But we still cannot practice it as a form of harm reduction when we canât actually access this shit.
Also, the problem with âjust go voteâ is that gerrymandering means that even if people make it out to vote, the crazy way districts are set up is designed explicitly to cut the other party (in this case Democrats) off at the knees, even if thereâs a majority overall.
Tulsa, Ok. Tornado Alley.
Election night 2016.
White friends in affluent white neighborhood stood in line for 10 minutes.
Black people in predominantly Black part of town standing in line for ~4 HOURS. Single poll worker.
Even if you are able to get your ID and shit sorted out and get there, there is no guarantee you will functionally be able to vote.
Fuck every single person who acts like natural disasters are fair punishment for living here.
Especially since if youâre LGBT, you are likely to be disadvantaged economically ANDalso get blamed by the conservatives for natural disasters.
If anything, people in shitty states deserve more support. We are fighting poverty AND prejudice. (And the possibility of dying in a tornado.)
And moving is fucking expensive. Donât even suggest it.
This is so fucking true. We have seen many times where natural disasters have happened even in so-called âliberalâ cities like Houston with Hurricane Ike (2008) and the devastating floods in the summers of 2015 & 2016 and New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina (2005), and the low income and minority communities consistently are left to fend for themselves by their local and state government. In Houston there are some neighborhoods in the 3rd and 5th wards that were flooded out twice or three times in the span of a month or so and the city has yet to try to do anything about the consistent flooding of these low-lying neighborhoods because again, disenfranchised black and Hispanic voters do not get them elected and thus are not worth spending time and energy on. This even happens to a lesser extent in the LGBT-heavy neighborhoods of Neartown and Montrose, where police presence is historically and traditionally lower and violent crime is much higher than the surrounding neighborhoods (Drew and my sister and I were actually mugged at gunpoint in Montrose, and after we called the cops they took almost a full hour to respond in person). There is even a huge disparity between the quality of the infrastructure in the historically EXTREMELY liberal city of Austin in majority white neighborhoods and majority black or Hispanic neighborhoods consisting of missing sidewalks, sub-par bus and train stops, crumbling pavement, poorly air-conditioned schools and government buildings, and lack of access to public amenities such as parks and swimming pools. The city has a very questionable track record of improving these neighborhoods once white citizens move in and begin buying more property and using their larger resources to lobby the city government for improvement (see the near East Side neighborhoods, Clarksville, East Riverside). So in short, if you say that in âredâ States we deserve these floods and heat waves and hurricanes because of the evil politicians that control our governments, you are basically ignoring the fact that the vast majority of people who suffer and die in these events are minorites who have already had their voice stolen in the government and even in their communities. Instead of throwing us under the bus because our states are electing conservative Representatives and Senators, be publically critical of and fight against unfair practices like voter suppression and gerrymandering!

Cant reblog this enough
I love that this shows both sides, how society is ingrained to see women as baby-makers and men as walking wallets whoâs only worth is if they make good cash. Both are equally demeaning and limiting in different ways.Â
