“I Own It But I Haven’t Read It” a story by me
Let us all take a minute to thank a library and all the librarians who inhabit it
[D]on’t ever apologize to an author for buying something in paperback, or taking it out from a library (that’s what they’re there for. Use your library). Don’t apologize to this author for buying books second hand, or getting them from bookcrossing or borrowing a friend’s copy. What’s important to me is that people read the books and enjoy them, and that, at some point in there, the book was bought by someone. And that people who like things, tell other people. The most important thing is that people read…
Neil Gaiman (via bookmania)
Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
Why did the massive surge of literature inspired films in the 90s have to stop? I liked that quite a lot… I’m craving new films to obsess over…

We know the college kids are still in town because these are among our recent bestsellers!
I can tell this is going to be a semester of completely falling in love with my major all over again. My new advisor is reminding me why it is I love reading literature so much. Last semester I became overwhelmed by life at times and lost hold of my passion. But I finally feel up to par and ready to dive straight into literary analysis. Finally!
You know that moment when you’re reading a book and you just have to stop and bite your lip and squeal or sigh or close your eyes and wrinkle your nose and forehead and press the book against your heart and just like sit there and try to soak up the gorgeous literature via osmosis?
That’s my favorite part of reading.
Y’all little writers go on and have fun now
So. I have one of those professors this semester... The kind that grade everything based upon their mood.
I'm so done with this semester. But the hard part? She's very nice and respectful and likes me... Outside of grading.
Oh. And she's obsessed with the subject of male genitalia.
I mean, yes. There are plenty of times in literature where certain imagery or words might be used to symbolize a penis... But not all the time. Not everything can be related to a penis. At least... That's what I thought before this class. But I've been proven wrong. She can find ways to relate absolutely everything to a penis.
So. I'm just now at the point of doing this to every grade I get in her class.
