>There is NO weight that makes an eating disorder valid if you have an eating disorder you have an eating disorder. there are people who are overweight, healthy weight, underweight and anywhere above, below and in between who have VALID eating disorders and everyone needs to respect that.
> you do NOT have to be obsessed with germs or straightening things to have OCD and your OCD doesn’t have to be severe to be valid. some people have mild OCD and others extreme but all of it is still OCD.
> Bipolar 1 is NOT worse than Bipolar 2 or any other bipolar spectrum disorders and there is no way to measure how much someone is suffering or struggling.
> Schizophrenia is not the only disorder that includes psychotic experiences. anyone who experiences psychosis is valid and should be respected. also people who experience psychosis (people with Schizophrenia included) are not monsters, they are not dangerous, and they are no different to any other person and should have the same rights as everyone else including the right to be involved and have authority in big decisions and their own medical care.
> Just because you have more diagnoses than another person does not mean that you have it worse than they do. most psych diagnoses have overlapping symptoms and again there is no measure for distress if it is difficult for the person going through it then that is all that matters.
> Depression and anxiety are really hard to deal with and yes they may experience less stigma than other disorders but that doesn’t make them any easier to live with and to have to manage.
> There is NO time frame for recovery from PTSD you don’t have to “get over it” you don’t have to “move on” until and if you are ready to do so. it is ok to still be affected by trauma and there is no requirement that you go back to your “old self”.
> everyone deserves respect and everyone is a valid human who deserves support and acceptance.
