“Spring was fun while it lasted.” Flannery is sitting in the shade, fanning herself off.

Flannery is just going to lay on the floor for a few hours. The weather has been cooler than normal lately, which meant everyone was scrambling to challenge the gym. She’s so tired.

There's another note in the same handwriting as the last. There's a rose attached to it, too. It reads, "Hello Flannery! Your secret admirer again. I hope you've been having an absolutely splendid day, and that you know that your eyes outshine the sun. Your beauty makes the sky look dull in comparison. Your spirit makes a raging inferno seem like a small bug, and when you wake up in the morning, the world takes a relieved new breath of joy. You make every day better by existing."

Another note left in the same place as the last, this time with a rose attached. The handwriting was the same, though the contents of the note were a bit longer than the last. She’d still read over it, feeling as if her heart was squeezed as she reached the end. 

Flannery was going to have to get to the bottom of this at some point. She couldn’t keep letting this get into her head like it was, or she was going to end up having another off day. Did she even know this person? And if she did, what if she didn’t feel the same way? There were so many questions and what-ifs that she already had gone over, to the point where she didn’t get much sleep. She just didn’t know.

“I sensed a presence and came over, but it was just Giratina.” The disappointment in his tone was clear.

“WHA----- WHAT--- HOW DID YOU DO THAT? CAN ALL GODS DO THAT?”

“Damn Ray, that’s rude. I’m a delight.”

Yes. The answer is yes. And now Flannery is slapping herself in the face juuuust to make sure this isn’t a dream, because WHAT THE FUCK.

“Not mine, so therefore I didn’t lose one.”

Oh great lands below, what was happening. “Okay, uh.......... well..... uh......................................................... fancy seeing you here, UM.... How’s it going?”

There's a note pinned to the door of her gym. It simply reads "You're totally gorgeous, and I wish I had the guts to ask you out. Until I work up the courage, know you're a stunning hottie!"

Flannery arrived at her gym just as the sun was beginning to rise, as she usually did. Muscles ached slightly from her climb an hour ago, though she knew the soreness would subside with time. She bit into a granola bar as she shifted her bag on her shoulders, reaching into the pocket of her coat to take her keys out. A note on the door stopped her in her tracks, a brow raising. 

Nobody usually left notes on her gym like this. Official business was sent to her email, or to her actual mail address, so she knew it couldn’t be a league matter. Flannery unpinned the note from the door, reading it with a raised brow. It wasn’t long before she felt her face redden a bit, before she let out a laugh.

“Hah, riiiiiiight. Real funny prank!” She’d say to herself, folding up the note and pocketing it as she unlocked the door to the gym. Yep, absolutely hilarious. So hilarious, in fact, that she’d continue to think about the note all day, losing several battles because of it and reading it five times over on her lunch break. So funny.

Just a prank, right??

He threw the ball, only for it to bounce out of the lane and land on a spectator’s foot.

“Now tha’s a strike.”

“.... Something tells me we should never try real bowling.”
