Late nights thoughts: Motormaster and Silverbolt fighting over Slingshot.

Kirill Bolotov, the translator for G1 Transformers cartoon for its initial airing on Russian TV gave this interview seemingly some time in the 90s. He explains why there are no sexual relations between transformers other than between Megatron and Starscream, what kind of art they would be making, why a robot who writes novels is a "genetic dead end" (rip Thundercracker), and his rather onorthodox interpretation of what started the war between the autobots and the decepticons. It is completely insane and I have translated it for all of you to enjoy.

Okay so I have yet to watch Obsession but, I'm low-key thinking that Gears probably might have experienced the same thing Nikki did cause he could only follow direct orders (Megatron's orders) and could only act happy and obedient. Not to mention that he was conscious too, insulting Megatron the entire time but still sounding cheery and having a smile on his face.

Also the whole Optimus jokingly agreeing to not give him back his personality chip (like someone deciding to wish for a billion dollars instead) .

Silverbolt: Hey, show your father some respect.

Slingshot: I didn't call him dad!

Ironhide: No, no, no, no Slingshot. I take it as a compliment.

Optimus: It's not a big deal, I called Elita mom once and she is my conjux.

Slingshot: Guys, jump on that. Optimus has psychosexual issues.

Air Raid: Old news! But you calling Ironhide daddy-

Slingshot: Hey, daddy is not on the table here.

You're telling me they just replaced Slingshot with a mech that looks almost exactly like him!?

Alpha Bravo's head just looks like a rendition of Slingshot's. Other than the colors they share the same midsection. Like at that point just do the whole, "character dies, revives and gets a new name and frame" instead of making a whole a new character.

They really took the whole replacement thing seriously. Like for angst one of the aerialbots could accidentally call Alpha, "Slingshot" only to be like, "Oh sorry. It's just that you look so much like him."

5. skydive, doesn't care and doesn't see the point in celebrating getting older

4. sliverbolt, understands birthdays, thinks its more something for other people than him

2. fireflight, in it more for the party decorations and fun than the concept of "birthday", likes every holiday, wishes to someday eat frosting

1. slingshot, thinks hes so subtle but everyone can see how much he loves the idea of birthdays, likes receiving presents, hes a birthday boy its his birthday hes a birthday boy

I think Slingshot would be too proud to admit it but I like to think he motivates Silverbolt when it comes to overcoming his fear of heights. Cheering him on and flying next to him to remind him that someone is there with him.

If anyone knows where to watch Journey to the West 1999 in English and Spanish full episodes, please tell me how. Ever since the channel that had them got hit with copyright I have not been able to rewatch the series which sucks cause I love the Spanish dub and I just miss it.
