The fact that both of zukos abusers used lightning against zuko and instead of learning to use lightning himself like he could have he learned how to redirect the lightning and let it pass through him and then straight clean out of him… Do you ever think about how that is literally physically representing how instead of absorbing his father and sisters abuse he lets it pass through him and instead of soaking it in and letting it destroy him he redirects it away from himself… I just want some peace in my life

i randomly watched the swan princess a couple days ago, never heard of it, but after watching beauty and the beast i was kinda in a true love mood so i figured why not

tbh i didn't really like it, it was okay. there was a lot about it that was unsatisfying, namely that i didn't really feel any chemistry between odette and derek.

but i. i can't stop thinking about it. i keep thinking about the opening number, and how fucking good it was, and i get so upset. there was so much potential!!!! they had such good chemistry and there was a very obvious enemies/rivals to lovers thing going on, but instead of a well developed romance over the course of the movie, they made the characters fall in love immediately, and it's just so unconvincing. like why am i not feeling the love between these characters that have known each other their whole lives?? when disney movies can make me believe true love between ppl that have known each other for a day

also odette loses all of the personality that she had in the beginning. there should've been more back-and-forth between her and derek, at least something reminiscent of the dynamic they had as kids

i wish someone could fix this. 'this is my idea' is so good. i can't. if the whole movie was just about them growing up together that would've been so good
