I absolutely love the sequence where Saga’s trapped in a soulless, empty version of her Mind Place.

it hit a little too close to home, how underlying doubts and insecurities can suddenly burst forth to haunt you. once you think about your mistakes, a spiral forms. a self-deprecating thought that seems to loop forever.

this is not an easy place to get out of. you’re a bad person, you’re terrible at your job, you’re a bad partner, and you failed everyone. you made mistakes, there’s no redemption left for you.

for me, this is my definition of hell. a personal hell. while playing, I thought: if I was in Saga’s shoes, I would’ve sunk into the Dark Place. that’s why I adore Saga, for she fought against her own darkness.

“I’ve made mistakes,” she said. “I’ll make more. But I can do better.”

as someone who’s stuck in her own never-ending spiral of anxiety, I’ll try to keep her words in mind.
