These crispy chicken fingers with a tangy honey mustard sauce are a perfect crowd-pleaser for any occasion. The combination of crunchy exterior and tender chicken, paired with the sweet and savory sauce, makes for a delightful treat.
Ingredients: 1 lb chicken tenders. 1 cup breadcrumbs. 1/2 cup flour. 2 eggs. 1/4 cup honey. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste. Oil for frying.
Instructions: Warm the oil in a deep fryer or pot with a heavy bottom to 350F 175C. Place breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, and flour in three shallow dishes, one after the other. Add salt and pepper to the chicken tenders. Before covering each chicken tender with breadcrumbs, coat it in flour and then egg. Press the breadcrumbs firmly to stick. In small groups, fry the chicken tenders for four to five minutes, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked. Move to a plate lined with paper towels to drain off extra oil. Put honey, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Mix them together to make the sauce. Honey mustard sauce should be on the side so that you can dip the chicken fingers in it.
