Loving a wild thing is like having a lion for a pet. You know itâs a creature of violence whose very nature and talent is murder, and yet it lies down at your side and purrs for your touch alone.

Trouble//f2f//Alex& Cleo
He might be physically limited, but Alexâs mental awareness was at its peak with all that was going on. He knew heâd been on meds the last few weeks and he may not be as sharp as he could be if he was off them, but the situation made it feel as if a rush of adrenaline had coursed through his veins. His suspicions continued to rise. Not only was the electricity off, but comms were down. This wasnât good.
âWell, weâre not gonna do any good sitting here,â Alex said, grunting as he put his weight on his crutches and stood up. âWe either gotta find Merlin, which I think is impossible in this state, or find out for ourselves whatâs going on.â He glanced at Cleo. âYou donât happen to have a gun on you, do you?â
She nodded in agreement and looked around to see which direction they should go next. She knew the layout of this place pretty well with the fact she lives here more then she does at her own home. âIf you think that, then I suggest checking out the generators and figuring out why they havnât snapped back on yet.â she suggested in her naturally void of emotions yet collected voice.Â
She didnât look back at him because firstly their was no point it was dark, and secondly she was trying to stay sharp and listen for anymore footsteps. âWhat kind of girl do you take me for?â She smirked as she took one of the two guns she had on her hips and handed it to him, âI donât leave my room without at least six weapons on me.â she grinned in the darkness and started walking in the direction of the back-up generators hoping he was following.

Bump in the Night|| F2F|| Iseult & Antony
Antony has the worst luck. He would decide going for a run outside was brilliant idea before he got caught in the worst storm heâs ever seen. He had barely made it back inside, drenched in rain water and covered in mud. His hair had been whipped around in all directions and frankly, he looked a bit terrifying. He walked blindly down the halls until he missteped and fell on the floor.Â
Someone turned the corner and flashed a light in his face. He flinched at the sudden brightness but saw the gun in the personâs hand. âWait, please, donât shoot, itâs Antonyâ he said, holding his hand up to shield his eyes from the light.
âOh, itâs youâ said a female voice. His eyes began to adjust and he looked up to see one of the agents, Iseult.âYeah, itâs me, sorry, I was just coming back in from a run. This storm is bloody awful. I saw the whole place go dark as I ran back inside! Do you think itâs because of the storm?â
Cleo lowered her gun but kept the light between them so they could both see. âIâm not going to shoot you.â She replied with a sigh. him and Jess both, what was with them Cleo didnât shoot absentmindedly. âPlus if I was your hands wouldnât have help you like that.â She commented plainly, âRemind me that you guys need to learn how to disarm an opponent next.â she trailed off before realizing what sheâd said. Oh hell what was happening to her she was actually thinking about lessons.Â
She helped him up and nodded, âPerhaps...probably.â She shrugged. She didnât want to cause a panic among the recruits after all in case it wasnât anything. She already spooked the poor fella with her gun. âYou should get dried off come on.â She motioned for him to keep walking with her. Nothing could come of just standing around after all right? And Jess had been lighting some of the fireplaces around here right?
Trouble//f2f//Alex& Cleo
Alex was relieved when he heard Cleoâs voice in the dark. It took them a while to find each other in the dark, but a few moments of hobbling and Galahad made his way to Iseult.
âWell, Iâm not just gonna lie there in the dark,â Alex said. âI wanna know whatâs going on.â
He looked around but realized how stupid that was. He could barely see a few feet in front of him. âIs it like this all around HQ?â he asked, fearing what the answer was.Â
Cleo nodded realizing that he was still who he was and staying still wasnât an option. âYou and me both.â She replied simply. She stayed close to him because while her eyes were adjusting it was a slow process.Â
She nodded again though she realized quickly how pointless that might be if he can;t see her, âI think so. So far everywhere Iâve been as been. I was hoping to run into Merlin to ask whatâs going on.â She explained. âMy laptop wonât even work and thatâs battery run so...â She trailed off knowing she didnât have to voice her suspicions.Â
Bump in the Night|| F2F|| Iseult & Ector
Memorizing the layout of HQ was endlessly useful during her recruitment days. Five years of being a Kingsman agent later, Jessâs memorization reached full capacity for the massive building. It was a skill she picked up from MI6, and really only became useful when the power went out today.
After talking to Balan earlier, Jessica decided to throw herself into more practical activities to stifle the anxiety creeping up in her chest. Like getting firewood and lighting the various fireplaces around the building, making sure the recruits had flashlights and candles, just menial tasks while Merlin and the rest got the power back.
She didnât expect to bump into Cleo.
Jess wiggles her hands a little in an attempt to surrender, but itâs a lame attempt when she has a stack of firewood in her arms to her chin. âYeah, itâs me.â Jess verbally shoots back. She nods to the pistol in Cleoâs hand. âNow thatâs the last thing we need, somebody getting shot while thereâs a blackout.â
Cleo first looked at the pile of wood in confusion then realized what Jessâs intentions where. Notably wise for those who couldnât see in the dark as well like the recruits or possibly other agents who simply where as trained in such things. Herself being a bit rusty. She re-holstered her gun on her hip and rolled her eyes at the comment.
âI didnât shoot you now did I?â She replied simply. Cleo wasnât hasty or trigger happy. She was precise, her perfectionist tendencies where a blessing in that regard. Especially since had it been someone who didnât belong sheâd have wanted them alive to interrogate them. Since sheâd been hitting the training room more then normal the prior week her reflexes had gotten sharper. She had no fear of mistakenly shooting someone.Â
âWhere are you headed? and have you run into Merlin yet?â She asked curiously. She figured if anyone knew what might be going on it was him.Â
Bump in the Night|| F2F|| Iseult & Open
Cleo had made her way to her workstation after the jolt and darkness fell over her while she was in the halls. She tried to use her laptop, but for some reason it wouldnât turn on. After trying various pieces of her equipment it seemed that anything linked to HQ was out of commission. That was odd and dangerous. There was no way the storm did that. For once she realized perhaps something simple like a candle would be of some use. She couldnât count how many times sheâs stubbed her toe already on various objects.Â
After a while of rummaging through her things she found a lighter and set off again to look through the halls. She tried to steer clear of the main halls because that where people were most likely to be and she was keeping an eye out for those who didnât belong.Â
Heading a bump come from around the corner she instinctively whipped around and in one motion had her gun pointed at the person with her lighter in the other hand to illuminate their face. Her finger ready on the trigger. Luckily she didnât pull it once she saw who it was. âOh itâs you?â
Everyoneâs got a breaking point|| F2f ||Alex and Cleo
âYeah, thatâs what I want,â Alex said. âTo be on more drugs. No thanks.â
âHey, you and me scratching isnât such a bad picture,â Alex teased. âYou can scratch me and I can scratch you.â He stayed silent for a while before saying, âOkay, that sounded wrong,â and burst out laughing.
âI know itâs not what you want, thatâs not really a factor here right now.â She reminded him. Whatever was the quickest and hopefully painless way out of here was all that mattered to her.Â
She playfully rolled her eyes with a light smile, âItâs only as wrong as you make it. Youâre minds in the gutter.â she laughed a bit before standing up. âWell Iâve got to finish up some work or Merlin might kill me if I miss another deadline.â She grinned, âIâll see you tomorrow Galahad.â She smiled softly and waved.Â
Trouble//f2f//Alex& Cleo
Alex was reading his book by his lonesome on his bed in the infirmary. Things have gotten much better for him in the past few days. The pain started to subside. He was able to sit up on his own. His ribs feel like theyâve recovered for the most part but he still had to take it easy. The sling around his arms was gone. And his cast was getting removed in a few days. He was grateful. He couldnât bear just lying down here doing nothing.
And then it happened. Alexâs quiet time of reading was interrupted by a power outage that sent the room into darkness. He reached for his cellphone at the bedside table and illuminated his surroundings with the phoneâs light. He couldnât press the intercomm button because, obviously, that wouldnât work. He sighed. Couldnât this have happened when he was out of the infirmary?
After a few minutes of sitting in darkness, Alex realized that something was wrong. Why didnât the generators start? Sure, he knew there was a huge storm outside, but he knew it wasnât enough to cripple the electricity indefinitely.Â
Something was definitely wrong.
Alex swung his legs out of the bed and reached for the crutches that were given to him a few days ago. Using his phone to light the way, he hobbled out of the infirmary.
âHello?â he called. âAnyone?â
Cleo had made it a bit of a habit to take a break at least once a day to go see Alex while he was in the infirmary. She knew he didnât like being there and the company did them both a bit of good she liked to think. Not so surprisingly Merlin was right that couple days off really did wonders in restarting her. To bad such good feelings never last.Â
In the blink of an eye everything went dark. Cleo froze for a moment looking around slowly waiting for the backup generators to kick in. She knew it was bad outside but she didnât realize it was this bad. However when nothing happened and the entire place remain in darkness she immediately went on her guard. She slowly slipped a hidden dagger from her heel and hid it in her sleeve as she continued to walk forward slowly. She knew HQ pretty well despite the lack of lighting, but she still wanted to give her eyes time to adjust just in case.Â
A million different scenarios where going through her mind and none of them good. She faintly heard someone voice and cautiously inched towards it till she realized it was Alex.Â
âGalahad?â She asked in a confused whisper. âWhat are you doing out here right now and like that.â she pointed to the crutches. Of course she knew he was capable, but she failed to understand his plan.
But Why || F2F || Ella & Iseult
Ella sat back from the computer after reading his last message. He was back, but didnât want to see her. So many emotions flooded her that she didnât even know what to think. If she couldnât focus on her training before, it was going to be almost impossible now. She slumped in her chair and sighed. She looked around the room, but no one was in sight. She closed the window she was on, not wanting to see Alexâs message again. Why wouldnât he want to see her? UnlessâŚand then it clicked. Something must have happened. He must have gotten hurt. Ella quickly shut of the computer, determined to storm off to the infirmary when she walked straight into someone.
âSorry, excuse meâ she muttered, but the person held her there. âWoah hang on a second, are you okay?â
Cleo yawned after leaving Alex at the infirmary. It was an emotional rollarcoaster to say the least and she was tired both mentally and physically. Her mind was racing with both worry and relief at the thoughts of him. She was glad he was back, but she had this underlying feeling their was still more to the story then he told her. Of course she couldnât blame him they were a secret organization so keeping secrets was sort of second nature to them all by now. She was lost in her own thoughts when she accidentally bumped into some on and grabbed onto them to keep herself up.Â
âHm?â She looked up still not fully back in her senses till she saw the girls face. Ella right? She was quite certain she was Alexâs recruit for multiple reasons. âYes Iâm fine just a bit of fatigue.â she replied simply as she released her from her grasp. âWhat are you doing up and about in this area?â She asked curiously.Â

So, the queen mother tells me I absolutely have to invite someone to ascot horse race because I canât show up solo another year. Soooooo, anyone? Free champagne and food. You wouldnât even have to share bed with me, I promise.Â
I had no idea youâd have any issue at all finding someone to go with you. I donât know too many around here whoâd turn down free food.
Home is where the heart is|| para || Cliam
Liam flipped the light switch on in the kitchen and began to make himself coffee. He smiled at her as she talked âIt was no trouble at all, half the time I fall asleep on the couch anyways.â Which wasnât a complete lie. Heâd only done that a couple times but he was happy Cleo got the rest she needed.
He rummaged through his refrigerator, trying to decide what to make them for breakfast. âWow, good job mate, first time a girl has slept in your bed without you in it and youâre still making her breakfastâ he thought. His old party boy habit crept into his thoughts every now and then, but this time it caught him off guard. He pushed the thoughts back as he pulled out some eggs.
âAlright then, how about eggs? I can make them any way you like themâ He smiled softly at her. He set the eggs down and pulled out the jar where he kept his sugar cubes. He handed the whole thing to her. âAll yours, love.â
She followed him still kind of looking around slightly waking herself up. âNo idea why then. Your bed is pretty comfortable.â she spoke honestly. In fact she might need to invest in buying a new bed herself now. âItâd be hard for me to leave it.â She joked with a giggle. Sheâd definitely be late to work some mornings.Â
She took a seat watching him move around looking for things. It was kind of amusing to her to watch for some reason and put a light smile to her face as she let out one last yawn. âEggs are fine.â she chimed, âI like mine scrambled if you donât mind. Or really just any way the yoke isnât all gooey.â She explained. This time it looked like sheâd actually get to see him cook and that was kind of exciting considering how tasty it was last time.Â
Her eyes lit up when he passed her an entire jar of sugar cubes. âOh wow, thank you.â She smiled opening it up, âThis just getâs better and better.â She chimed taking one out and popping it into her mouth. Sheâd have to remember to thank Merlin later for suggesting she take a break even if most of the thanks still go to Liam for being such a wonderful host to her.Â
What does this do?
Makes me wanna kill you, so I suggest not touching it.Â
