I cracked a joke about burying Wash alive to the marvelous @littlefists and, much to my surprise, she didn’t yell at me. Instead she told me to “DO IT, BUT DO IT JUST LIKE THE LEVERAGE EPISODE”. So I absolutely went there. (It’s from The Grave Danger Job, if you guys haven’t seen it, which you should, because it’s great.) Hope you guys enjoy!

Scared Bears by Percy_Anthony - There are two things you should always keep in mind should you ever fight Agent Washington. The first, don’t underestimate him. The second, never, ever, corner him. Afterall, cornered animals bite. A wonderfully dark and angsty fic about the moment the Freelancers understood why Wash was picked for the Project. Based on @papanorth ‘s awesome art.

Sentiment by @weatheredlaw  - Usually this is the part where I write my own summary of the fic but this one is pure perfection: “How are you feeling, Agent Maine?” “I feel fine,” Washington answers. This fic asks the question, ‘what if Wash and Maine received Eta and Iota?’ and answers it beautifully. Tons of fun (angsty fun) and feels so if you’re a fan of Wash and Maine’s partnership or ship you need to check it out.

Deserted Corridors at the End of the World by @queseraawesome - The thought is selfish and unhelpful, and Wash knows that but he can’t stop it from echoing around his head: What if it had been Tucker in Doyle’s place? That’s right, it’s time for sad yet hopeful Tuckington feels! This fic is tagged as ‘life-affirming make-outs’ and let me tell you, it is the life-affirming make-out to end all life-affirming make-outs. Also, this writing is fucking prose. It’s beautifully written and keeps me coming back to it over and over again.

Pussy Problem by Legendaerie - Originally, Tucker only offered to help Wash find the feral cat the man’s been keeping an eye on for the new material it would give him to tease the Freelancer about. Unfortunately, the sight of stoic Agent Washington doting on a mewling bundle of claws and teeth might be the cutest think Tucker’s ever seen. He’s so fucked. A purr-fect ‘Wash gets a cat’ fic. For starters it’s adorable and so is Wash. I usually don’t include favorite line but this bit stays with me because it’s spot on and hysterical: Tucker looks down at the fish in Wash’s hands, that’s starting to smell and shed scales the longer it’s handled. “Ohhhh my god, you’re trying to make friends with it. You’re trying to make friends with it and failing. That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard–” Includes some quality pining Tucker for all your pining Tucker needs.
