Hm hm I keep trying to compose my thoughts but all I can come up with is 'it's frustrating". I was watching Elliot Sang's video this morning about the state of leftism and just thinking man. There's a lot of focus on making 'the movement' more palatable, more mainstream, more appealing, but if it means treating the liberation and safety of minorities as secondary to the tastes and sensibilities of white voters how on earth is that progress from white supremacy? If it means alienating the people who are most vulnerable, siphoning them from the movement, treating their struggles as side quests instead of a shared suffering brought about by global extraction & exploitation, what are we even doing?
And such and so on. You get it. Well. Mm. I'm done typing lol.
Touch me again and I'll kill you.
Happy Wyll going to town on fruit Friday
Me, too, Astarion. Me, too.
This pride month let's all go to town on fruits, like Wyll. And go to town on fruits like Wyll.

basically the best thing a story can have is a woman who is doomed. massive points if she destroys the people around her in response.
Most beautiful girl you’ll ever see
sorry i'm still angry about this but if your excuse for not caring about female characters is because you're not sexually attracted to them you are exactly 0 degrees of rhetorical separation from a redditor whining about how his favourite video game is now "too woke" because the women don't show enough skin
Hi friendly reminder that there is an ancient Desire demon beneath Kirkwall classified as a Forgotten One and her name is Xekenbeck and she's 100% why everything in Kirkwall is fucked up.
The reason no one knows about her is because her glitch is righteously fucked up and genuinely, literally, absolutely incompletable.
I think perhaps the only way in which queer people have achieved true parity with straight people is that queer romantasy is just as bad.
“Let us give masculinity back its flowering wand of reciprocal relationship with the natural world. Let us call Dionysus to the gates of our cities and homes. A man who can dance with plants and honor beasts, a man who can be a woman and an androgen and an animal, is more than a gender. He is a celebration. A hive of humming bees. A secret network of fungus ready to erupt as the air moistens. A murmuration of birds. A cluster of grapes. A throng of singing women. A magician.”

“I think white gay people feel cheated because they were born, in principle, into a society in which they were supposed to be safe. The anomaly of their sexuality puts them in danger, unexpectedly. Their reaction seems to me in direct proportion to the sense of feeling cheated of the advantages which accrue to white people in a white society. There’s an element, it has always seemed to me, of bewilderment and complaint. Now that may sound very harsh, but the gay world as such is no more prepared to accept black people than anywhere else in society. It’s a very hermetically sealed world with very unattractive features, including racism.”
— James Baldwin, from a 1984 interview given with Richard Goldstein, in the Village Voice
because so many people missed the point of this on the original posts notes,
James Baldwin (a gay human rights activist and author of the 50s and 60s) was pointing out that communities that are minorities are still part of the larger population and are still going to fall into oppressive beliefs within their communities and as a white queer person it is extremely important to make sure your acceptance includes BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of color), do not make excuses to deny anyone the right to live as they are when you cry about your own discrimination.
community and solidarity is the only right answer.
