what i love the most about phil’s vid is that it represents a queer narrative that is so common in experience but still so uncommon in media. a narrative about someone who knew they were gay from a young age, without question. who was closeted, but not in a significantly traumatic way. who was outed against their will, but took control of the situation.

it resonates for me in a completely different way than dan’s video did. it resonates with the part of me that so desperately wants it to not matter that i’m queer. that wants to just live the simplicities of my life and know that other queer people are out there doing the same.

I like this one because it’s not just “girls daydream a lot” but instead features a wide variety signs and symptoms that many people don’t know are associated with ADHD.

This is the first time I looked at a list of “girl” ADHD symptoms and didn’t feel like it was misleading, and that if any of the post were true it said more about sexism than an actual difference in the way the disorder presents.

This is what ADHD was like for me as a child, and most of this is still accurate into adulthood. I think ADHDers of any gender can relate. I hope that this info gets out there and more people think of these type of symptoms when they think of ADHD. And I do think it would benefit girls who are still so underdiagnosed because we refuse to accept a lot of typical hyperactive symptoms in girls. Even when they’re present. So know what else to look for.
