Something I love about Digimon Beatbreak and Ghost Game is that they look at the ending of 02 and ask "How could this go wrong?" Then answer in two distinct but equal ways.
"Digimon are actual fucking MONSTERS, and don't really get humans. They have their own thoughts needs and morals that are sometimes incompatible with a humans" (though Ghost Game does kinda fumble it)
And also
"Humans VERY. MUCH. WOULD. abuse the powers of Digimon for our own selfish ends. Digimon who are partnered to a human are at very real risk of being brainwashed by their partner's emotional state, turning them into a danger to everyone around them."
It's a very nice contrast
This kinda ignores that 02 epilogue explicitly states that there were MANY problems and conflicts before reaching that future, there still are, and there will continue to be forever.
Like, the epilogue absolutely never pretends to say their future is perfect and idyllic and there are no more conflicts. It's just a hopeful scene to put an end to the original series.
I think all of the above are valid in their own right. Parts of 02 were apparently made with a hypothetical third installment in mind, which might've addressed this issue more directly.
My current take is that the epilogue is good enough, and that's it's perfectly okay to hope for a possible future where there can be a decent degree of coexistence between humans and Digimon, while at the same time GG and BB's angles are also necessary and well developed (probably moreso in BB's case).
As for me, I think my ideal angle would be one where the problems are addressed (some Digimon can and will cause large scale conflicts in the human world, human organizations can and will use Digimon for evil and/or try to invade their world and capitalize on it) while at the same time presenting a valid solution that provides a gradual understanding between both worlds, maybe not to merge them, but to allow communication, friendships, alliances, to form. Yes, this would likely take many years and it would be extremely irregular. Yes, there would be some downsides. But at the core of this franchise is precisely the beauty of what happens when humans and Digimon forge bonds together, so I think it makes sense to work for an ending that validates these bonds.
Which is not say that I think every season should end with a relatively positive endgame situation like 02, in fact I love that each product has a somewhat different answer. But I feel like, lately, the final answer has been "we can't make it work" rather than "well, how can we make it work?" and I'm missing some of that.
That being said, BB's angle on Sapotamas and the way they influence Digimon make me think they will also go for the "keep them separate" ending.
*stops reading newspaper* i should draw red from spyro a hero's tail
how can u see exveemon and not wanna smoomch
I firmly believe the reason no digimon confronts Ken after he stopped being the kaiser is that they just don't recognize him, can't tell it's the same guy.
Cull the thunder
digimon beatbreak is about kyo trying to outrun his evil boyfriends and the three human children and 1000 digital babies he's picked up along the way to give himself something to live for while he tries to avoid his trauma.

Not every position creates courage, but courage defines true leadership. Deep respect to those who raise their voices in defense of humanity. While others choose to stand by in silence, as if none of this concerns them. History does not remember those who remained silent. It remembers those who stood for what was right when doing so demanded real courage.
What I'm about to say isn't being reported in the news. Organizations in Gaza don't distribute money; most distribute food, and not everyone gets enough for their family. So, if you can donate... Donate to a family or person suffering from a specific illness
My daughter Salma and my niece Judy are suffering from severe anemia. If you are able to donate, please click here. If you would like to participate, you can also help.
Everyone is talking, writing, and seeing, but many are ignoring us or simply unable to participate. Please, we in Gaza are living in very harsh conditions. Donate, do something.
Piper & Aero, for @morgannox
With this I'm officially slowing down in Art Fight! July happened to have really solid hands, but I'm still proud in how much I managed to participate in my first event :) From now on I'll probably do just revenges.
