Ah-crivens identifies as non-binary, gray-asexual, and queer. They use they/them pronouns. Some of their favorite hyperfixations include The Vampire Diaries, Taylor Swift's discography, and romance novels.
Things That Embody "The Ick"
This blog is not a safe space for anyone who does not believe in giving people basic human rights. If you happen to belong to any of the following categories, or any that are not named but fit this description, begone fiend: transphobes, biphobes, acephobes, panphobes, MAGA Cultists, Conservatives, Racists, Xenophobes, Zionists, Israel-supporters, Islamophobes, Anti-choicers, Antisemites, incels, misogynists/sexists, Christo-fascists..., etc.
Ah-crivens supports the Free Palestine movement. If you support g*n*cide, do not follow or interact with their blog.
Housekeeping on Q&As
Please note that Ah-crivens is willing to answer almost any question but will not respond to any questions about the Christian faith, something they left behind many years ago, and/or debate on whether people should be given basic human rights. You will absolutely not change their mind, and they have zero desire to engage with you on this topic and will not regardless. Repeated attempts to start arguments on these topics will result in you being blocked.
The Taylor Swift Clause
You likely noticed Ah-crivens cited Taylor Swift's discography as one of their hyperfixations. They are a big fan of Taylor Swift’s music, so if you hate Taylor Swift, this is not the blog for you. Just keep scrolling.
Other than that, enjoy the ride here. It is bound to be bumpy...
A list of things my Republican grandmother went on a rant about with no warning (even if she does not vote) in the span of 20 minutes:
"illegals" (don't even get me started on this one ugh)
Gavin Newsom
Nancy Pelosi (this one was valid because she was going off about her doing Inside Trading, allegedly)
Vaccines
Autism
ADHD (important to note this was attached to the vaccines rant because she thinks vaccines cause ADHD)
Doctors (she calls them "White Coats" and went on a tirade about not trusting the Medical Association)
The Government
People on Welfare/Food Stamps (this is a popular one for her. Her disdain for people on welfare and food stamps is very concerning)
Politicians (this in general but also the sheer amount of money they make and how they never are doing it for the people which I mostly agree with)
Aliens (specifically how the government was making people disappear who talked about alien encounters and that she found it suspicious that they suddenly started acknowledging the existence of aliens)
And then she finished it all off with a rant about how every single president is on puppet strings for someone else.
When she goes off on tirades like this, it makes me glad she and my grandpa both do not vote and have never voted đź’€
Also important to note that this woman deeply confuses me because at the same time, she also believes everyone should have free healthcare, free college education, and free school lunches for kids. And she gets mad when people disrespect her daughter or her daughter's wife because they are lesbians. Can't say she doesn't have complexities đź’€

A list of things that have happened to me so far this week (for context: IT IS MONDAY):
1. This ancient white lady at my parents church (I just went to see my nieces and nephews who go) went up to me when I was using my cane because I have fibromyalgia and had a bad flare up that day and told me INGESTING Essential Oils (you know, that thing I am highly allergic to) would cure me of my fibromyalgia. (Further context: my dad told me she is DEEP into Young Living, one of the largest Essential Oil MLMs in the US.) I'm beginning to see why this is my mother's least favorite member of their church (she also has fibromyalgia).
2. I am currently having a really bad allergic reaction due to the fact that my mother used a detergent from a different MLM from Young Living Church Lady (this one is Melaleuca) even after I told her to absolutely never use that detergent on my clothes. (For context, we went camping and she offered to wash my clothes since everyone's dirty clothes were in the same bag and I stupidly agreed.) Guess what the allergic reaction is from? The essential oils in the damn laundry detergent. She said she didn't think I could possibly be allergic to it because it is "all natural" as if my allergies give a fuck whether something is natural or from a lab. So now I have welps on my ass because she of course washed my underwear with that detergent. FML.
I just finished a really dark Sterek fic on Ao3 (still one of my hyperfixations) and I am genuinely so upset rn. The author tagged it as dubious consent, and in my opinion, there's nothing dubious about it. It straight up was just not consensual in any capacity for literally everything in the fic. When I say everything, I mean every single thing that happened in that fic was non-consensual, and the author should have tagged it as such. I would have liked to know what I was getting into as someone with trauma related to SA.

I’m just saying if Daniel Radcliffe, the literal protagonist of the Harry Potter franchise since the age of ten years old, was able to disavow JK Rowling and move on from the HP universe then actually what the fuck is anyone else’s excuse. There is no one else on the planet who can say their entire childhood was HP more than that guy and he still cared about trans people more than the average tumblr user who says “we’re protesting by making all her characters queer and trans!!” like you can do better. You should do better.
I just saw someone say "there is no ethical consumption under capitalism" as an argument for boycotting AO3
Babe AO3 is a nonprofit. They do not exist under the ethics of capitalism. Fanfiction is legal because no money is ever exchanged around it. (All the money given to AO3 is used to maintain their servers and pay their lawyers to help keep fanfiction legal.)
Fanfiction is one of the few things in this world - probably the one singular form of entertainment that does not exist within the confines of capitalism. So by your own logic, even if you hate some of the content on AO3, it's inherently the only ethical thing to consume in the whole world.
I hate that people now associate an em dash with ChatGPT to the point that if you run something with em dashes through an AI detector it automatically gets flagged for AI. Like, it’s a useful grammatical device when used correctly, and I hate that it’s devolved into what’s now known as the ChatGPT Hyphen đź«
