My dad loves minecraft and is currently building, legit, the entire city of Philadelphia just because. Today he sent me his save and while the whole thing would take days to explore (and it’s not even remotely close to be finished), I’ve taken some screenshots of my favorite stuff:

THIS is a news channel… he made it NOT by making a custom texture pack, but by creating freehand pixel art on a massive scale at the precise size of a minecraft map, then mapping it, then putting it in an item frame. He told me he’s done stop signs and some street signs using the same method, but I legit couldn’t find them because the city is that massive

My mom has debilitating sciatica from an accident that left us all living on her disability. Because she can barely sit, let alone move around, without feeling searing pain, this caused her to get pulmonary embolisms that literally would’ve killed her if she didn’t get to a hospital in time.

At that point we had insurance that allowed her treatment to be nearly free, not anymore. I get scared when I think of what would’ve happened if we didn’t have that insurance then.

She needs surgery ASAP in order to be in less pain and avoid another deadly embolism.

been playing slime rancher love my babies so much, especially my puddle slimes just everytime i walk past them I start crying

THEY LOVE THEIR DUCKS SO MUCH

I dont know if there’s a cumulative effect from ducks but i always try and give them one each just cos i can.

And now my whole chicken plains area is puddle slime heaven! I have every plot set to a pond now and i keep them all in there with three per pond. And all around them are my ‘free range’ rock/glow slimes. I felt too guilty to ever get rid of any slimes, so when i didnt need them anymore i moved them all to this area with a constantly respawning food source. It was tricky to carry 20 or so gordos one by one and make sure they didnt follow me back into the main ranch. But they settled surprisingly well with the puddle slimes! They eat the veg and fruit while the puddles only need water, and they cant eat each other’s plorts so they never get into conflict with each other. And its fun to go check in on them whenever i’m fetching chickens for the other slimes. The gordos sometimes hop into the puddle ponds and try and play with them! Thats why i dont keep the ponds stocked to full capacity, cos there’s always one extra visitor. And its so nice to see these socially anxious lil puddles now having so much fun with their friends! Sometimes i find the Toy Rocks in the pond and like.. I know the game’s AI isnt complex enough for the slimes to want to share with their friends, but its nice to imagine that’s what’s happened.

Anyway sorry for random reply but in summary I agree that puddles are precious. And also its just so calming to sit around watching these simple bloops live their lives and imagine little stories for them! I think everyone has some of their own unique ranching moments and thats what makes this game so replayable even after you’ve unlocked everything.
