I cant Help but think the reason alastor lost is because well- he used his powers. Didn’t they say you can only kill angels by angelic weapons or am I tweaking? I know that’s such an obvious answer so it’s probably not it, and also since none of his powers hit HARD. Which makes it so even if his powers are restrained- would it have been possible to win?
If you have any questions about this theory, ask away because I know the way it’s ordered makes it unreadable… sorry xx
And to add one he was being soooo overconfident (credit for @beep-is-stressed for making me realise this)
Imagine this- there has been no earlier history of angels being able to get killed before carmilla doing it, and she did it with angelic weapons (the strings on her feet for those who didn’t realise). And I’d like to imagine that there gotta be demons before her that tried to fight back with their powers, yet there’s no record of anyone succeeding killing an angel.
So why does alastor think he’s different? Or is this just a plot hole, that he could’ve possibly defeated Adam (one of the higher up demons) but because of the deal he can’t. If that is true- it’s dumb.
I would continue, but after yapping away in some random comment section I’ve lost all brain power- so I’m leaving it here xoxo
What do you think?
He was being overconfident
He’s bound by the deal
