What they aren't telling these kids that's really dangerous is that if you do make it all the way to the heart of a Scientology building, the autosave will lock you into entering the Tom Cruise boss fight chamber, and you won't be able to leave until you defeat him in combat.
And if you somehow manage to glitch yourself out of the building, cruise will still be aggroed on you no matter how far away you get.
But it's not like you will get all that far away in the first place:
Scientology bred him into the perfect anti speedrunner weapon...
Children, listen to me.
His health bar moved. So he can be killed.
Goose confirmed some more stuff related to irl names if ya haven’t seen yet ^^
Most fanworks of Hikaru tends to portray him as stoic and cold. But neither the more sympathetic Hikaru nor the serial killer cult leader Hikaru are like that in canon at all. In fact, I'd say he's pretty expressive, especially his younger self. It might be people holding on to old headcanons, which is something I can't blame anyone for doing because I'm in the same boat lol.
I think @wia-tia hit it on the head with their tags in that it's mostly a consequence of people engaging with Hikaru primarily via HikaAi shipping and wanting to exaggerate the perceived contrast between them - Energetic Sweetie x Stonefaced Stoic is a classic ship dynamic and I'm sure not immune to it.
Of course, this comes back to the question of exactly why this is the dynamic a lot of people attached to HikaAi because it's not really how they're portrayed in canon, but I think this again comes back to wanting to exaggerate a perception of him from the text - this time being his perceived similarities with Aqua. There was a pretty decent chunk of time where basically all the fandom knew about Hikaru was his appearance, the very very broad stroke of his backstory & relationship with Ai - and, of course, that he was the culprit. So they had to kind of make up a guy to do anything with him and I guess they just reverse engineered him from Aqua as a result.
why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
It wandered across mine. I shall help it travel forward.

one of those days where I'm thinking with awe about the whole AquRuby truther movement from when the manga was running again. no matter how long it's been, remembering that there was a period of time when the unironic position held by some of the loudest people in the fandom was "this extremely mainstream manga is definitely going to end with the protagonist hooking up with his blood related twin sister as epic destined soulmates" and they were so confident in this prediction that they gave you the exact chapter they thought it would happen and the exact sequence of events it would follow and when you asked for evidence they would give you a list of things that weren't actually in the manga and call you a slur hits like a truck

500¥ says that part of why they were so confident Canon Incest was Endgame, is the common perception that Japan is an exotic/degenerate land of perverts. That anime and manga are innately more perverse/taboo-pushing/whatever than Western animation and comics.
Japanese media is full of pedophilia and rape and incest and even gay people, so they say. So anything is possible. Discard your civilized European notions of what is permissible in mainstream pop culture, and assume you already know what's permissible to barbaric Asians.
I never much interacted with the Oshi No Ko shipping community, so I can't speak to how things went there. But the idea that a manga being mainstream precludes it from doing an incest pairing doesn't really hold water.
Just a couple months ago Street fighter 6 six, the latest installment of a culturally ubiqutous franchise, which is currently doing phenomenally well, added a character whose story mode was about his romance with his adopted sister/Cousin.
And just a decade-ish ago Game of thrones was culturally ubiquitous in America, with an incestuous couple core to the narrative from the start, and a second one being added late in the game.
I'm going to be blunt without wanting to be unkind or pick a fight: not only are these just kind of bad comparisons to make but more broadly, this post is a gold star example of exactly what GWG outlined in her post - using niche and/or subculture-targeted media as a frame of reference to paint Japanese culture as a whole as being especially permissive or even celebratory of taboo subject matter - in this case, incest. It's true that Japan has different standards for what counts as incest and differing laws and standards with regards to it, but it is not an uncontroversially celebrated aspect of daily life or even mainstream pop culture.
I deliberately included American Made Media in order to avoid that issue.
Okay, well. This is a discussion specifically about orientalism in fandom and xenophobic assumptions people make about Japan as a result of their shallow, surface level engagement with niche pop culture. So I'm not sure what you imagine you're contributing here.

very important for elf characters to freak the fuck out about the aging difference thing and pre-grieve like crazy and scream themself hoarse with denial when they can’t stop death itself and they still look the same as when they met the frail aged body that’s going cold beneath their touch and eventually settle into a numbness that they’ll call acceptance but they never really let anyone get as close as they did in the first century of their life unless they know they’re going to stick around as long as they will
“why are elves so snobby and exclusive and cut-off from everyone else” befriending you means they’ll end up burying you and your children and your grandchildren and they’ll still be young. exactly how many times do you think you could choose to do that. if you live through enough centuries, eventually you run out of days in the year to visit each grave.
