RMN-021 - Thorn Woman
Sometimes an idea will just hit me out of nowhere. Of all things, this one struck while I was brushing my teeth to get ready to go to sleep for the night. Anyway, meet RMN-021, Thorn Woman!
Thorn Woman was designed to create large-scale floral arrangements and gardens for various social events. Well known for her skills, she tends to be booked solid. While she can come across as rather haughty, in truth, she takes so much pride in her skills that she is a rather intense perfectionist. This need for everything to look its absolute best extends to her own personal beauty regimen, which tends to make her run late for engagements, fashionably so as she would say. Despite this, her excellent attention to detail and stylish sense of aesthetics keeps her in high demand.
Thorn Woman’s weapon is the Thorn Lash. A thorny vine with a rose tip is whipped forward like a morning star. The full whip will cause damage, but if you’re spaced just right to hit a target directly with the rose tip, it creates a flurry of petals to cause an area of extra damage for a moment.
So pretty!
Quick question: If you try to think of a "What if I were to find myself in Silent Hill's Otherworld based on my own mind?" situation, what sorts of things should be considered? I assume that monsters, a basic idea of the environment's appearance, and how they connect to the person in question are all part of it (I remember you mentioned that your fear of deep water would factor in if you had a Silent Hill Otherworld), but are there any other factors that you think should be considered?
I feel like some key things setting-wise would be fear of water (possibly having to climb upwards in otherworld escape segments to get away from rising water?) and feelings of isolation, maybe manifested as being mostly trapped outside the town in less developed areas. Like being taken close to the town, but never quite let in or something to that effect? Not quite as sure on monsters, but I have plenty of depression and an inferiority complex for them to play with, haha.
I was mostly asking to see if I can figure out what I would go through if I had to go through a Silent Hill Otherworld myself, but I think this and rewatching your Silent Hill analysis videos can help me figure that out. Thanks, Roahm!
Oh yeah here's this whole argument if you guys wanted that.
I'll have to listen to it later on my free time, but thanks for sharing this!
"Blossom? I think we need to talk...."
Sorry for not answering this. Real life has kept me off Tumblr, and I only recently found this message in my inbox.
Ever think about things you remember or were told by family that happened to you when you were little and suddenly realize, "Huh, this sounds like it could work as part of a DnD character backstory?"
I put my own personal example in the read more if anyone is curious. What sort of DnD character backstories can you make based on your own lives?
I think non-Americans need to calm down on the ‘respect the dead health insurance CEO’ policing of Americans who are forced to live in a system where they have to pay for healthcare.
Like there’s always going to be a bit of a “Violence is never the answer” throwaway line, but that’s not really true, is it?
Very fun that people think I'm writing this as an American citizen.
As if its not just a universal truth that when you push people past the point of sheer desperation that they then think they have nothing to lose and start hitting back however they see fit.
I'm going to call it now: When they catch the shooter (and they eventually will; he shot a very rich person) it'll turn out that his wife or child (or both) died because UHC denied care...but then billed him a zillion dollars anyway.
This is easy to predict because it's their entire business model and they have an army of lawyers and lobbyists to make sure they're never, ever held accountable for it. So the guy fell back on the only thing America can't give up: Cheap and easy access to guns.
And we're going to see copycats.
This is in fact so predictable that we had an entire long-range (5 seasons, plus a spinoff with three seasons) where one of the main characters is driven to crime BECAUSE he was an exec at a major insurance company and they denied coverage for his son, who had cancer. It's called Leverage.
Didn't one of the Saw movies also show this sort of thing? I think it was Saw 6, but I could be wrong.
Finished a new sibling to my robot masters, Mail Woman! Attached here are her concept art and the initial pitch as well.
People liked the initial pitch so much that the finalized design didn't deviate a whole lot.
"A greek robot modeled after the messengers of the gods to work the management of both physical and digital mail.
A hopeless romantic who is in love with the concept of love. She tends to fall for virus-ridden e-mail such as Chain Mail (out of fear) or the ILOVEYOU virus (out of a need for love).
As a result, she gets sick and disoriented easily (a bad thing given she's a workaholic), but somehow -call it a favor from the pantheon- her system remains stable and working in spite of the ridiculous amount of viruses in her system, they seem to be bottlenecked somewhere in there. So she plows through her job with... not that many major incidents."
Aww! She's adorable!
You go to a magical academy where they promote practical and combat magic over the standard hyper complex and over the top spells that are standard and for the first time ever your academy will participate in the imperial academy tournament
The other academies start to complain when your academy curb-stomps them during the tournament, to the point where they start to accuse your academy of cheating.
If I haven't answered your question, just assume the answer is "you'll have to wait and see"
Also asks are closed FOREVER!
Oof. I had a question, but I see that I'm too late to ask. Good luck with everything!
So, simply put, Mimic Logic is a game where you go through a dungeon trying to open regular chests and avoid Mimics. Generally, regular chests tell the truth, and Mimics tell lies. I don't want to risk accidentally giving spoilers by giving more details, but it does feel a bit like a rogue-lite when I play it. Does it sound like a game you'd want to find out more about if you have time?
Possibly, yes, sounds like it could be interesting.
If you do decide to get it, I hope you enjoy it!
FNAF Springtrap and Vanny talk to Huntress in DBD..
Question: Does Huntress understand English? That DbD Dating Sim did indicate that she does, but then again, the Entity might’ve done something there to overcome language barriers.
I wouldn't be surprised if a FNaF chapter of DbD has Vanny be an alternate skin for Springtrap.
new samus shirt that just fucking kills you
Looks awesome! I might not play Metroid, but that is a great shirt!
You ever notice how our planet is teeming with intelligent life, and I don't just mean humanity?
Haha, admittedly there are times where I would question the inclusion of humanity in there, but go on.
Oh, yeah! So many stories of humans being foolish would bring doubts about humanity's intelligence, wouldn’t it?
Have you ever considered making some of your own Robot Masters into custom skins for MaGMML 3? If so, which of them would you want to do first and why?
Honestly, I simply don't have time to do so, and am not that good at spriting to be honest.
Fair enough. I haven't had time to make my own custom skin for MaGMML 3 despite the fact that I was asking about how to do it.
“I’m going to stop you right there, you dont have to be super specific about your wish, I don’t do monkeys paw or any of that garbage.”
"But how would you know what I want if I don't specify the details in the wish? If I were to, for example, wish for a pizza, how would you know that I want pineapple on my pizza if I don't mention the pineapple?"
(Apologies to any pineapple on pizza haters out there.)
tired: mermaids are all women
wired: much like elves, merfolk are mistaken by sailors for being all women because they have long hair and are very pretty
inspired: merfolk actually have very different concepts of gender to humans because they’re an entirely different species with their own unique culture
marine scientist: what’s your gender?
merperson: what’s a gender
marine scientist: like, are you a man or a woman?
merperson: i’m merfolk
marine scientist: no, like, what’s in your pants?
merperson: i don’t… wear any? i don’t have legs?
It’s a biological fact that fish do indeed change their sex to keep the male/female ratio balanced in their school population. So this fluidity actually makes more sense from a scientific standpoint than the silly idea that merfolk are born with a strictly assigned sex like humans.
Merfolk are all canonically genderfluid and we love them for that
Human: (invites merfolk friend to a boat party with their friends)
Merfolk: oh man, there are a lot of women here. Haha don’t worry guys, I got this :) *changes into a man to keep a balance because that’s culturally polite for merfolk*
Human: (spits drink) what the FUCK
OH MY GOD
So in the presence of a ship with an entirely or mostly male crew, nearby mermaids would become female to keep the balance.
That’s it. We figured out why everyone thinks merfolk are all women. Get a boat of fems out there and let’s see what they report.
Wait... what factors affect the decision on which merfolk change genders when there is an imbalance? If one merfolk is more comfortable in, for example, female form compared to male form, would they be less likely to change to male to maintain that balance compared to one who is comfortable with both? And are there merfolk who decide to take a nonbinary form instead of going male or female?
