FOCUS - Lucia's Weisshaupt experience
Lucia awoke, she was unsure of the time. The fade was much different in that way, she couldn't tell the time. Luckily, the room had artificial lights to imitate the sun rising and falling and the lights were currently still off. She turned in bed and saw that Leo was still fast asleep. She gazed at him, admiring him, taking in every de-FOCUS, she shook her head to snap out of the trance. Gym, got to go to the gym. She dressed and grabbed her bag to head to the gym.
Stretch, cardio, strength training, weights, end with light cardio. She started her circuit and focused on her body and her breathing, in and out, in and out, in and out. She was getting close to finishing her workout when she heard some commotion, FOCUS. She had to finish these last reps then she can jog to see what's happening for her light cardio.
She jogged out of the gym and saw everyone stirring and people in armor. What is happening? She overhears Weisshaupt, help needed, grey wardens, darkspawn. She ran back to the room to check with Leo and see if he knew anything. She gets to the room but he isn't there, he must have gone ahead. She hoped he was okay and was safe. FOCUS. She grabbed her bow, daggers, and both explosive and fire arrows then armored up. She grabs health potions and grabs a few extra for Leo, in case. She goes by Jimson's enclosure, he has food and water, she blows him a kiss "Momma will be back, Jimmi! I love you!" FOCUS. She heads out the door and towards the Eluvian to get to Weisshaupt. She stood there getting into that mental state, FOCUS. She walked through the Eluvian and headed towards Weisshaupt.
Upon stepping into Weisshaupt she bore witness to the onslaught that was happening. She was in utter shock, what was happening? FOCUS. She ran down to the Front Gate Courtyard. Fire. Darkspawn are vulnerable to fire. She stood near a brazier and started lighting fire to her arrows and shot at any oncoming threats. She lit a few explosive arrows paying attention to locations where the horde was most concentrated. A few darkspawn came close for her to use her daggers, she was slashing and slicing, getting so caught up in the fight in front of her that she zoned in on it and didn't pay attention to her surroundings. WOOOSSHH KAAK She quickly turned to see a barrier formed from behind her to stop a javelin then fire struck the darkspawn that threw it.
FOCUS. She spun around and saw him. Leo. He runs to her, grabs her, and kisses her. "Please be safe." Lucia wished they were back in bed and this was all a terrible nightma- FOCUS! She heard another area needed assistance. She had his hand in hers and yelled through the chaos "I PROMISE TO COME BACK TO YOU!", then headed off to help the others.
She gets to what used to be Township Street; everything had been overrun with darkspawn and blight. She was disgusted, she got up on a vantage point and started raining fire and explosive arrows down on the darkspawn. When is this going to let up? How many darkspawn ar-FOCUS! She heard reinforcements were needed elsewhere, so she ran to assist. The street was completely blighted, rubble everywhere; what was once Weisshaupt was in ruins now.
Her eyes watered, so much death, so much destruction. FOCUS! She reached for her arrows realizing she was out, mierda, she still had her daggers though, she jumped down and started cutting down the darkspawn. Then, what seemed to be out of nowhere, a Hurlock charges at her "AHHH!" FOCUS! She started stabbing the monster trying to get it to stop or slow down, but it charged into a wall, her being the object that caught the blow before the beast finally fell.
She felt the piercing pain and there it was; a large piece of sharpened iron sticking out the left side of her chest, blood streaming out of her in large amounts. Did it hit an artery? FOCUS! She moved slightly, screaming, trying to remove herself from the iron piece, blood was starting to spill out of her. She felt cold, shaking, and then intense pain started to course through her entire body, the adrenaline and shock had worn off.
She started picturing Leo's face, FOCUS how she wished she had more time with him FOCUS to show him how she truly felt FOCUS and confessed her love for him. Breathe, in and out, in and out. Focus, please focus. Stay awake. Please stay awake. For him. Focus focus focu foc fo…
