''the secret history vibe is studying hard and loving the classics'' so close! the secret history vibe is a close group of pretentious idiots who secretly hate each other murdering people for the vibe and ignoring the concepts of the moon landing and hypothermia
She literally does not give a damn what that old fool is yelling about
It is quite interesting that Isabella Linton best conforms to our perception of a “Strong Woman” out of the female Wuthering Heights characters, actually running away from Heathcliff and living as a single mother, yet Catherine Earnshaw, who doesn’t do anything quite as brave or transgressive, still inevitably comes across as the feisty and charismatic one.

I’m seeing a lot of people saying this post changed their brain chemistry, and as a neuroscientist I wanted to say yes!!! Yes it does!
Wanting something requires dopamine signaling, but liking something doesn’t.
If you have a mental illness/disorder that affects dopamine, you might feel that you don’t want to do the things that you like. You do still like them. You will appreciate having done them.
Let your likes guide you.
(If you want to read more, here’s one experimental paper about it. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5171207/ This theory called the incentive-sensitization theory was originally created to explain behaviors in addiction but can be applied elsewhere as well)
Rewards are both ‘liked’ and ‘wanted’, and those two words seem almost interchangeable. However, the brain circuitry that mediates the psych
“Diana : "Im such a victim of media's persecution. They stalk me everywhere. I dont like it at all" 😏 Also Diana: Calls the paps to let them know her whereabouts, and leaves the charity place as soon as cameramen leave and are done filming her hugging children. She was a first class manipulator. Not bad for an uneducated women who never studied for anything, who never worked and who spent more of her time victimizing herself” - Submitted by Anonymous

Why do people constantly say that Sansa, Catelyn, and Alicent are "real women" or survive like "real women" while Arya, Daenerys, and Rhaenyra are unrealistic girlbosses? Sure real women don't warg into wolves in their sleep or have dragons, but the grand majority of women aren't also politicians living in luxurious castles and waging wars either lol.
Real women don't have magic powers but they've suffered domestic abuse like Daenerys, they've been starved, orphaned and beaten by adults like Arya, they've had men try to ruin their reputation like Rhaenyra, and women have certainly experienced injustice and had their agency taken away like all three of them.
Sure some women put their heads down and do as they're told to survive like Arya and Dany notably do at times! But women (in everyday, real life no less! 🤯) also try to resist and seek changes. Yes, even when there's pushback and, yes, even when it sometimes backfires and they have to face consequences. But plenty of women have always tried to make changes with the power they have, both big and small; and we celebrate their will to resist harmful circumstances for both themselves and for others.
And it doesn't have to be some grand display of power either. It can just be one little girl who stands up to a bully when he's hurting another child or one young woman who tries to protect a fellow woman from assault. These women exist and they aren't queens and princesses! They're women you see everyday just living their lives! So why in the world would you try to imply that they aren't as "real"? Is it because you personally couldn't relate? You'd be afraid? That's fine. That's also very understandable and realistic too, but that doesn't make you the arbiter of true womanhood.
So I ask you, do you genuinely believe everyday, real life women have never suffered and survived like Daenerys, Arya, and Rhaenyra? Do you genuinely believe women who try to stand up for themselves and for others don't exist? In your mind, are women who try change the circumstances of their life and society nothing but power fantasies who only exist in fiction? Do you think so little of women? Because I'm baffled.

In the meantime, I have a collection of the greatest singers of Arda:) Finrod isn't really about music himself, but I can't leave him out of it. People like to compareDaeron and Maglor, but I think it's an absolutely pointless exercise, they're all about completely different things, and each of them is the greatest, in their own musical theme. Daeron is about the Hidden Realm, not touched by the darkness and distortion, about that magical world where the nightingale trills, the redolent fragrance of night herbs, and the ancient tribe life in harmony with the Forest. Maglor is about greatness and drama of Valinorian Noldor. And Finrod is about creating bridges across the gulfs that divide people, not without some help of his songs)… It's my opinion, I see it this way!
