my best tip for anyone trying to get back into reading is to remember that you can read books to avoid other responsibilities in ur life and it can become a vice if you play your cards right

Imagine if Roy noticed how much Betsy was struggling to eat and swallow after her stroke, and wanting to bring her a little comfort, he carefully prepared a strawberry jam that would be easier and safe for her to enjoy.

Imagine if he told Betsy how it reminded him of Hayley, when she was so ill that strawberry was the one thing she could keep down.

Imagine if Carla sat beside them, smiling and quietly remembering. Hayley still comforting them all these years later.

I was so proud of Lisa for actually going home and trying to rest. Of course that was impossible but at least she tried. Do we think Carla and Ryan stayed at the hospital so Betsy wouldn’t be alone? I feel like that would be the only way Lisa would have agreed to leave.
